Movie Reviews of Executive SuiteMovie Review: A contemporary motif for the 21st Century Business World! Summary: 5 Stars
When Avery Bullard, President of the Tredway Corporation dies, the Board members must choose a successor. A very powerful performance by William Holden, as an engineer whose youth and reformist ways make him an ideal candidate. Supported by a cast of Hollywood A-Listers including Miss Barbara Stanwyck, this movie takes a hard and fast look at the internal politics and power struggle in ascending to the top of the corporate ladder; not really much different in todays corporate world.
Presented in glorious black & white and with a sagacious motion, this film contains no music score, providing intensifying drama. Brilliant direction from Oscar winner Robert Wise.
Movie Review: The Best Business Movie Ever Created!!! Summary: 5 Stars
I own 3 copies (VHS)of this movie because I believe in its message. Business today seems to be run by numbers people and not marketing folks. There is little sense of decency in today's business world. Business rewards executives with big payouts even when they destroy a company due to incompentance and stupity. I'm not in favout of a remaking of this movie because where are there nine actors today that could come close to the superb performances of the original cast. Executive Suite is one of my treasured films. I have always loved business and I always watched this movie lest I stray from my sense of decency with my staff and customers and my business.

Movie Review: One of the best movies ever about the corporate world Summary: 5 Stars
I had seen this movie 15 years ago and could not wait to get it when it came on DVD. It is amazing to think that this movie is 55 years old and yet most of the dialogs and the themes in this movie are still very up to date.
The film feature a very prestigious cast including William Holden, one of my favorite actors of all times and the so talented Fredric March who plays the greedy executive here in a breathtaking performance.
The Director Robert Wise has directed very different movies ranging from "the Sound of Music" to "Star TreK' !!!
this one is not that famous but should not be missed.
Movie Review: Corporate Drama... Summary: 5 Stars
Stars William Holden, June Allyson, Barbara Stanwyck, Walter Pidgeon, Louis Calhern, Shelley Winters, Paul Douglas, Nina Foch, & Dean Jagger. Directed by Robert Wise.
An executive dies without naming a successor and the Board of Directors must appoint a new president. Several of the top execs vie for the job. Add in company politics and scheming wifes and you have a very good drama. Not an "action" flick but a study of corporate America in the 50's and the power struggles at the top. Great cast with some very good performances. Good script. If you liked the movie "Advise & Consent" then you should like this one.
