Movie Reviews of Executive DecisionMovie Review: BEST MOVIE 5 Stars
When one thinks of great movies there are a few that come to mind: Citizen Kane, Casablanca, Godfather, and so on. What never fails to amaze me is that Executive Decision is usually left out of this list. What it lacks in plot it heavily makes up for in cast and character development. Joseph Caanen and Orson Wells step aside; Kurt Russel and Steven Seagal are on the move. If you want to talk about true chemistry amongst actors then I suggest you look no further than the "WERE NOT GONNA MAKE IT!" "YOU ARE!" scene. Lets just say that the ageold craft of theatre just got a tune up. NINJA STYLE! I don't like to judge others, but if your heart isnt racing faster than you love life itself by the last scene then you probably have little left to live for cause this movie is am still in the process of appealing the Academys 1996 decision [pun not unintentional] to give Best Picture to the English Patient. And trust me you, we will not be that patient with them. Regardless, if you are looking for a classic then reach for the nearest DVD copy of Executive Decision!
Movie Review: RUSSELL RESCUES Summary: 5 Stars
EXECUTIVE DECISION is a nailbiting ride, reminding us even more of the horror of 9/11 and the continued terrorist activities still troubling our globe. Director Stuart Baird assembles a fine cast and does his action sequences in tight, nerve-wracking fashion. It's nice too for a change to see our government bigwigs portrayed a little more humane and realistic. Credit to Len Cariou, Nicholas Pryor, and others. Kurt Russell is in good heroic form as our reluctant hero; Steven Seagal is mercifully given a glorious cameo; John Lequizamo, BD Wong, Joe Morton and Whip Hubley are fine in their command roles; Halle Berry is beautiful and efficient as Jean, the stewardess; Oliver Platt is at his best as the nervous enginner called on to be a bomb defuser, and David Suchet is irreprehensibly evil as the lead terrorist. A thrilling escapist film, well done!
Movie Review: Kurt is the best! Summary: 5 Stars
While a lot of reviewers took exception to Seagal being in the movie at all. He may or may not be their cup of tea! I think the movies were he gets to demonstrate his abilities in self defense are great! I don't really care what happens backstage, whether he was killed off because of attitude or not! I watched the movie because of the Russell and Seagal! You can find hundreds of thousands of women just as, or better looking than Halle Berry! You reviewers would think it would have been great if Hilton, Spears or any other high priced woman of the night were to be in the movie. Your only looking for that moment when you can see something that the edit room missed anyway!
Movie Review: Executive Decision Summary: 5 Stars
Terrorists hijack a 747 carrying 400 passengers, and everyone involved mistakingly thinks the passengers are going to be bartered for the terrorist group's imprisoned leader. However, an American intelligence analyst and expert in terrorism believes that their plan is to launch a nerve gas attack on Washington DC. The President's Crisis Management Team must then choose between ignoring the agent's nerve gas theory and allowing the plane clearance to land in the Capitol, or destroying the plane and sacrificing its 400 passengers. This movie is really good, it was really thrilling, and ecxiting, the movie will keep you guessing and guessing. Watch it you'll love it.
Movie Review: One Word "Intense" Summary: 5 Stars
I've seen this before, but it was just on tv, and it's actually a pretty good action/thriller. Definately not one of those YEAH RIGHT THAT IS SO FAKE movies, indicating they concocted everything with precision and knowledge. You enjoy it from beginning to end with it's non stop action and intense scenes between the american soldiers and the terrorists. Kurt Russell proves once again to be a hands on actor and a worthy main character. There is another similar movie but not as good as executive decision. It's called passenger 57. In the past I always confused the two. But if you enjoyed this one, try passenger 57 out. It's with Wesley Snipes.
