Movie Review: Very Emotional and Powerful
Summary: 4 Stars
By the end of this movie, I was crying. Very emotional portrayal of a dying mother who has never gotten over her first love. The daughters also have their own dramas going on - with one coming to terms with an unexpected pregnancy. Kind of reminds me of Fried Green Tomatoes.
The only thing I didn't like about this movie was the "F" bomb that was dropped on us at the beginning. Quite unnecessary.

I went in with the highest of expectations for this film and came out only slightly dissapointed. It was more a piece of beautiful cinematic artistry with the story in the background. It was sad to see a film with so much potential finish with so many loose ends. Character motivation was often inadiquately portrayed. Although complex and difficult to follow, this movie was the most romantic one I have ever seen. A very mature portrayal of the definition of true love between a man and a woman. As romance goes, this is definitely a chick flix movie. The story goes back and forth from present to past and eventually solves the mysterious edge to it.
