Movie Reviews of Evening

Movie Review: Enlightened me on aging
Summary: 5 Stars

I had expected this to be a "woman's" picture and had resigned myself to watching it to see Patrick Wilson whom I liked so much in "Passengers." But I was drawn into the film so much that by the end I was enthralled. I felt I was given a window into Vanessa Redgrave's soul and saw what it was like to age and die and realized how important it is to live now and do the best I can since our time flies so fast. When the movie was over, I started thinking of all the things I have not made time to do and considered when I am that old if I will regret my life or feel I made the most of each day.

Movie Review: Superb yet haunting.
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a film not for everyone. If you have a little life experience dealing with loss of love in more than one form then you may get it. I get it. I felt like this movie spoke to me and I think that is what the filmmaker hopes to accomplish. I bought 2 copies and gave one to a sister. That sister called me back and she felt similarly. This film is a story with some regrets, family struggles of expectation/beliefs that sometimes we all face. The film is not perfect, yet I view this as a jewel and I have added it with the 5 or so dvd's in my personal collection.

Movie Review: The 'Evening' of life...
Summary: 5 Stars

Get ready for a good cry. This story will pull at your heart as we experience an elderly woman's trip down memory lane, lamenting over lost love and missed opportunities. A single weekend changes the entire course of a young woman's life and she grapples with 'what might've been' during the 'evening' of her life. Haunted by the memories while on her death bed, she manages to find peace with her choices when an old friend helps her to see that she truly did live 'a good life', and that's the best anyone can hope for.

Movie Review: excellent, recommend to everyone
Summary: 5 Stars

Well cast, well done. They highlighted our Little Rhode Island perfectly.
I'm a little partial to the movie since the scenes in the "present" were filmed @ my cousin's house in Tiverton. The house was showcased beautifully, especially the stained glass window when Merill Streep's character headed up the stairs at the end of the movie. "There are no mistakes!".....
This movie is for anyone who has or is a mother, daughter, sister. Not just a "chick flick" , there's something for everyone! The music is beautiful too. Well done!

Movie Review: Wonderful acting and touching story
Summary: 5 Stars

This was a very well-done movie. It was wonderfully set up and directed. The acting was awesome. There were lots of well-known, talented actors and actresses that did a superb job. I loved the story as well. It was very touching, and definitly tear-jerking. It kind of has a similar feel to "The Notebook", although I prefer this movie. The story evokes a lot of emotion. It's not a light comedy. It is a poignant, touching, lasting story. Those who enjoy "real stories" more than just slapstick comedy are sure to love this movie.
