Eve's Bayou is a great movie if you actually sit down and take the time to watch it. At first, I thought that the movie wouldn't be that good, it actually is fantastic. A wonderfully original and chillingly effective thriller. The screenplay, by Lemmons, who also directed, is one of the most astoudingly-written screenplays ever written, and the entire cast's ensemble performance is beautifully genuine.Movie Review: A Soulfull Song of the South

An extremely talented cast and crew developed this intriguing narrative and visual journey which treats the ear and eye, while raising provocative questions. I loved it, but I partake only sparingly like once a month or every six weeks since there is so much to digest. Not for the impatient, closed-minded or faint-hearted.
The additional materials also add to the experience.
