seein' as this was the only version of wizard of oz was available, it was a good deal. i got three classic movies 4 the price of 1. pretty neat experience 2 share these films wit' my son.

Disc 1: THE WIZARD OF OZ Disc 2: THE GOONIES Disc 3: WILLY WONKA & THE CHOCOLATE FACTORYThis three-disc set, part of Warner's Essential Classics series, collects three films--The Wizard of Oz, The Goonies, and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory--in one inexpensive package. (Apparently, 1985's The Goonies and 1971's Willy Wonka are considered modern classics.) The drawback is you don't get the bonus discs of The Wizard of Oz (either one bonus disc or two, depending on which version you're interested in)--so if you really want the documentaries or the silent films, you'll want to stick with the individual releases. But this set does include the commentary tracks, cast profiles, and any other material that was on the movie discs of the Oz sets, or anything that was on the previous Goonies or Wonka releases. Best of all, The Wizard of Oz has the great remastered picture of the two previous releases. So if you just want the movies looking better than ever with some bonus features thrown in for good measure, the price per movie makes this set an attractive bargain. --David Horiuchi
