Movie Review: Inspirational

Eric Johnson is a smooth overall talented musician. He brings a little bit of everything a guitar virtuoso is composed of. His understanding of theory is excellent, but also teaches you valuable guitar lessons to non theory driven players.
This DVD contains many chapter based lessons divided between, melody, rhythm, lead, improvisation, chords, and much more. The quality of the audio is amazing! High replay value, as you'll re watch many times to gain more knowledge.
His guitar tone summoned by his Fender Strat is stupendous, many licks are covered quite thoroughly. Whats great is the little pop up on the right hand side of the screen appears when he plays in the lessons; granting you the ability to watch his picking methods from fingers to guitar picks. The fretboard is seen clearly as the camera work is always top notch and well aimed.
Overall a highly inspirational view on "The Art of Guitar". It truly makes you understand the authenticity he brings to the table and how we can always make a better player out of our self. With a non linear perspective held in mind you'll realize the potential you can obtain from merely choosing to watch this DVD. Coming from a very open guitarist myself, I can surly say you will feel inspired and willing to grab your axe in a heartbeat!
