Movie Review: A great beginning, but it'll be getting weird soon

What can I say about this anime? Only that it's one heck of a ride. Now, I have already seen ALL 23 episodes of the series, and I must say it was one of the very few shows that I felt I had to watch from one episode to the next, none stop; a real... er... DVD turner. I don't want to spoil anything for anyone, so here's a basic idea of whether to continue to buy these or not.
This DOES NOT have a pure sci-fi theme, since from DVD#6 onward, it'll be getting a bit weird. Many WTF episodes are to follow, but knowing Japanese animes, that shouldn't be too surprising. The last 3 episodes made me believe that the producers might have ran out on funds on the production, because the dramatic turn of events will leave your mouth gapping. Still, at least the ending was worth some of the bull**i* I had to sit through.
Far as what to expect from the rest of this show. Well, a lot of talking. This is NOT an action anime. It contains a lot of Philosophical and religious themes. It's more of a thinking-man/woman's show. If that's your poison, then you'll love this.
One final note, I some what suspect a sequel.
