Movie Reviews of Empires - Islam: Empire of Faith

Movie Review: A good Documentary
Summary: 5 Stars

Hello,

This was a wonderful documentery. By the way I am not a child, I just don't have an account. Anyway, this movie is unbiased and reflects Islam in a true light. The Caliph of Jeruselum was just crazy, acknowledged by many muslm scholars, and didn't obey Muhammed (PBUH) or the Qu'ran where people of the book must be respected. Also that jizya tax was to ENCOURAGE conversion to Islam.

Just because a Muslim does something doesn't mean he is following Islam. And last time I checked, it's called Islam: Empire of Faith and not Muslim: Empire of Faith.

The myth of the sacking of Alexandria Library is untrue and was done by non-muslim invaders.

Majority of the time, Muslims didnt exterminate or loot civilians but infact let em live. Course, there may be exceptions to this but those guys weren't following Islam's teachings.

Now back to the Documentary. It is very informative. Islam allowed freeing slaves and freedom. Women began to be respected.

THen it focuses on Abbasids. The Abbasids MADE ORIGINAL ACHIEVEMENTS early. They and their Spainard rivals were masters of knowledge. THe House of Wisdom was a source of learning for People of all Religions.

3rd part was about the Ottomans who were masters of Gunpowder.

Now please, do not let your personal views get into the movie. Try to watch it as an unbiased person, and not as some anti-islam fanatic. If ur muslim dont expect it to cover everything and its a good start for non-muslims to learn about ISlams TRUE NATURE!

NOTE: When Muslims were fighting the Europeans, it was helping the Europeans. They leanred what Civilizatoin meant. If it wasnt for the Abbasids and their friendship with CharleMmagne, Charlemagne wouldnt have leanred of schools and education.

Without muslims, we'd all still be BARBARIANS beating each others brains out to solve disputes. And thered be no America. And no sutch thing as FREEDOM AND LIBERTTY. Infact there is some evidence that the constitution was modeled after the Qu'ran.
