Movie Reviews of Elvis: The Mini-Series

Movie Review: Elvis the miniseries
Summary: 5 Stars

I think Kurt Russel did a FANTASTIC job playing Elvis. It was great that Charlie Hodge and others from Elvis's life were also in the movie. He, Kurt, was able to render a very good Elvis performance from the way he talked and the way he moved and danced and sang. Dynamic. I highly recommended this to any Elvis lover.
I love Elvis and read many books on him too. He did have a very bad temper, he was desperately lonely all his life; just couldn't fill the void left by his mother and dead twin, Jesse Garon. Still love him, though.

Movie Review: Awesome!
Summary: 5 Stars

You couldn't ask for a better look-alike, sound-alike like this guy Jonathan Rhys Meyers. He does an excellent job portraying Elvis in his high and low days along side great supporting actors! Elvis' life is shown on a whole new angle - the side of Elvis that fans in his day didn't see and now can only imagine what drove him to his demise and as well what made him great.
You wouldn't be wasting your money if you are an Elvis fan to buy this series!

Movie Review: A Tribute To The King
Summary: 5 Stars

This program was awesome. Jonathan Rhys-Meyers perfomance was amazing, he nailed Elvis right down to the blue suede shoes. I think this movie really captured Elvis the person and brought him to life once again. The final scene was inspiring, and summed up the entire story in one song. This shows why to many of us, Elvis will always simply remain, "The King." Also, this story will introduce this legend to a whole new generation.

Movie Review: Finally!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

Leave it to the Emmy-hype of Showtime's "The Tudors" to set off the money hungry studio-heads to FINALLY release Jonathan Rhys-Meyers' "Elvis". Wasnt the Golden Globe (2005: Best Actor) enough of a reason for DVD release? All I can say is... its about damn time!! :)

Movie Review: Excellent Series
Summary: 5 Stars

This was seriously under-rated and under-played when it came out in '05- it is really an excellent portrayal. One wonders if the delay was caused by the truthful portrayals- family didn't like it??
