Movie Review: Don't shortcut the music...

Eddie rocks, he is diesel in every manner of the word. Some people are just jealous of a regular guy from jersey who just won't deal with the hype (and is extremely talented). Eddie is right " guys that rush end up taking shortcuts, AND I DON'T SHORTCUT THE MUSIC !!!!". Thats right eddie it's your band and thank god in the second one Eddie and the Cruisers II: Eddie lives, you demonstrate your ability to lead a band, not let the drummer rush, not let the keyboard player drag, and show Rick Diesel the true meaning of the word intensity by sharing a poignant vignette of "finding music in the desert". Yeah...eddie lives and in the next one he's gonna do it right!!!Movie Review: Love it, Sing it, Dance to it

I've been watching this movie since I was 8 years old. I'm 24 now and I still love it, and my poor old vhs was so stretched and old I was forced to upgrade from watching it so much! You can't help but sing along with the kicking rock n' roll.(...) It's reincarnation scenes of te 50's and 60's is classic. And the mystery that threads through the story is great. And it's a perfect story of man reflecting on the great peak of his younger life. I highly recommend it, and don't forget to pick up the second movie, Eddie and the Cruisers II. Incredibly believable performances make this film get under your skin and stay with you a long, long time. Pare is terrific in the lead role of a rock star "ahead of his time". This fantasy movie is so believable due mostly to the performances of it's cast that many people seeing it for the first time walk out thinking...BELIEVING .... Eddie and the Cruisers really existed. The story line is just close enough to what many of us remember from the 60's and early 70's to become a part of our own individual rock and roll history. Must own. If u grew up in 80s,I am sure u had a lots memories back in high school with this movie and sound track. I remember, I watched this movie many times with friends and listen to the soundtrack in my car cruising with friends in the city and blast this soundtrack and also in high school parking lot! . This is hands down movie with great & unforgettable sound track u would never forget. I am VERY SURE u agree with me if u grew up in 80s.,Or u people in new generation if u like rock,Oldies an goodies movies & Music, CHECK THIS OUT..U WOULD NOT DISPIONTED!! Hey this is what a rock-n-roll movie should be about....the music. Eddie and the Cruisers is a great movie. After watching the movie for the first time I felt like it was more of the history of Eddie and the Cruisers and he really was out there somewhere. Sometimes critics just don't have a clue, there are other factors besides acting, not to say that the acting is not good, but this movie has heart and lots of it. I was glad to see that it was being released on dvd. This movie is excellent and the music is great. Check it out !retro
