Movie Reviews of Eat Drink Man WomanMovie Review: If you are a foodie, you will love this movie. Summary: 5 Stars
The food scenes in this movie are eye candy for us foodies. I love cooking and I have never seen food displayed or prepared in a movie as it is in this one.
The story line is charming in its concept of how food relates to our lives and our relationships. The fact that this is a subtitled movie did not bother me at all, because the scenes with the food were so tremendous that I couldn't stop staring.
If you love food you will thoroughly enjoy this movie.
Movie Review: I'll try to keep this short... Summary: 5 Stars
Wonderful scenes, human characters, funny, good food, romantic and with a surprise twist near ending. If you love Chinese food, or any type of food, buy this movie. If you like Chinese women, buy this movie. Has subtitles in English, French and Spanish AND a interview with Ang Lee. It was too short for me, I wanted more. Was nice to see a story with a happy ending (for part of it I thought it might not be a happy ending, but I don't wish to give anything away).
Movie Review: Eat Drink Man Woman Summary: 5 Stars
This is a great movies for anyone who loves family. I first watched Tortilla Soap whic is the same movie, but uses a Spanish family in stead of Eat Drink Man Woman's Asian family. The later is the better movie, but both will tug at your heart. A great girlfriend movie or to watch with your sisters. Just be sure to keep lots of snacks handy because the foods in both movies look fabulous. I wish they came with a recipe book.
Movie Review: Eat...Drink...Man...Woman... Summary: 5 Stars
Folks, I have 'skipped' this movie every time that I ran into it on cable, simply due to the fact that I missed the very beginning. I just don't know why, but today I made an exception and stopped to watch it. Now, I've got to get my copy so that I, among everyone else, can enjoy this fine film at my leisure. Ang Lee does it again - and we are better for it. Five stars!!
Movie Review: Charming Lovely Film About Food and Love Summary: 5 Stars
This is one of Ang Lee's early films and I personally think many of them are better. In Taiwan, a widower with 3 daughters struggle with life and pending retirement by finding love. His daughters are looking for love themselves and everyone loves good cooking. A film about love and food that is a prize winning mini masterpiece. A very nice film.
