Movie Review: Classic

I'm not a professional critic or anything. I buy movies with one idea in mind. Is this something i want my kid to watch when he is older? And the answer is Yes. This movie is a classic in many regards, it is something i can watch with my child in the room (no swearing or nudity) and it has a great story. David Lynch's take on Dune is nothing short of pretty darn good. It definitely gets weird (a.k.a. David Lynch-esque) in places, but overall the feel and tone of the movie are wonderful. The extended addition is definitely superior to the original theatrical version. A great prologue and many added scenes help those who have not read the book understand this complicated story much better.Movie Review: It doesn't get any better than this.

This movie is so amazing. The special effects are so advanced for its time and the premise is spectacular. A young man finding out that he may or may not be the messiah for a certain people. The story line and the characters are well-written and well-acted. I highly recommend this movie for anyone who enjoys a good intellectually stimulating film.Movie Review: Hurry up already

Most Dune fans have been waiting years for the extended version of the classic movie, I am no exception. Hopefully, the deleted scenes and extra this version have will be worth the wait. Why should fans in other parts of the world get first crack at this version while we here in North America have to wait?

This has to be one of the best movies from the 80's, i went to see this move while i was still in high school and back then i was amazed, now days i had always hoped this movie would come to the DVD format, but i have to give this movie two thumbs up for Kyle McGlaughlin & Patrick Stewarts Performances.
