Movie Reviews of Drums Along the MohawkMovie Review: Drums Along the Mohawk Summary: 5 Stars
Director Ford's first color film is beautiful to behold, depicting the perilous plight of early Americans in revolutionary days. Both Fonda and Colbert shine, as does Edna May Oliver in an Oscar-nominated performance as the crusty-but-kindly widow who takes in the young couple. Rousing adventure, the John Ford way.
Movie Review: A great Fonda classic Summary: 5 Stars
Add this to Young Mr. Lincoln, The Return of Frank James, and Jesse James as young Henry Fonda classics. Another actor you'll see in all of them is Eddie Collins. In Drums Along The Mohawk, he plays Christian, the rolly polly roll caller. Just another funny Collins performance for comic relief.
Movie Review: Good Movie This!!! Summary: 5 Stars
Educational, exciting, this one has it all!! Classic Henry Fonda, good supporting actors, lots of action...there was no FEMA to pull your fat out of the fire, this is a movie about self-reliance, hard work, and the will to live in the New World. Well done!

Movie Review: One of the best about the Revolution! Summary: 5 Stars
I first saw this film when I was seven. It is without a doubt one of John Ford's best films. And it is right up there with "The Last of the Mohicans". "Drums Along the Mohawk" is one of the greatest adventure films of the 20th Century!
