Movie Review: I've watched this about 15 times and I would watch it again.
Summary: 5 Stars
This is currently my favorite movie (Gladiator and Matrix are my other two favs) and I laugh every time I watch it many times thoughout the movie. My wife and I quote many lines from the movie and even though she didn't like it that much the first time, she absolutely loves it now. The movie can seem a little shocking the first time with all the bad stuff that happens and how lightly the characters take it but once you realize that the movie crosses all boundaries and pokes fun at everything and everyone, it just makes you smile. Kirsten Dunst is incredibly cute. All the characters are very funny, probably about a 100 funny lines in the movie, although Kirstie Allie can be annoying since her accent seems more Spanish than Minnesotan, but then she probably hangs out with her "husband's many Mehican workers".Awesome movie.

In an attempt to avoid a boring evening, I headed to the closest theater; the only movie playing was Drop Dead Gorgeous. So I said, 'Okay, I'll see it!' I have never regretted that decision. I love dark humor, and this abounds with it. From the hilarious dialects (I took my Minnesotan friends to see it the following week--they laughed so hard they almost peed their pants at the dialect) to the stereotypical pageant characters (anorexics) to the unstereotypical pageant characters (a jock who does farm work?) to Allison Janney's character ("I got some!"), this was a rare comedic treat that had me, my friends, and the other viewers at both viewings rolling in the aisles. And who can forget Ellen Barkin in the wheelchair at the Mt. Rose pageant, all hepped up on pain killers? This was just too funny for words!Movie Review: Classic... a movie to watch again and again

I have to say this is one of the funniest movies i have ever seen. This has got everything. It's a really stupid movie but clever at the same time. I own it and have watched it 10 times and never gotten tired of it. Offbeat humor is plentiful. A great cast with Kirstie Allie and Kirsten Dunst are perfect for the parts. Its a movie you can just pop in for friends and have a great time, laughing like crazy. I reccomend it to anyone looking for a good time, ready to have fun. My favorite quote, (and i even have it on my desktop) Hey sad pants and serious sally! How bout a nice cold mint to turn those frowns upside down?!?! Would a nice cold mint help if i shoved your head up your A**?!?! So much great stuff. My favorite comedy and documentary of all time. A true cult classic. Drop Dead Gorgeous, though not subtle, is a cleverly written comedy in the "mockumentory" style of "This is Spinal Tap." However, it lampoons many of the slightly (or not so slightly) absurd aspects of both beauty pageants and living in white mid-west suburbia. The role of a spoiled, snotty, self-absorbed teen princess holy roller isn't so much a role for Dennis Richards (well, everything but the holy roller part) as a biography. Kirsten Dunst comes through with a stellar performance as preppy underdog, and Kirsten Alley is quite entertaining as the rich, overbearing mother reliving her glory days through her daughter. " Drop Dead Gorgeous " is about teenage girls competing for the Mount Rose Beauty Pageant, and on to Miss. Teen USA. Although, some mysterious person is murdering some of the contestants, but the show must go on, and it does. Who will it be? Kirsten Dunst and Denise Richards are both big roles in this. There are so many laughs in this movie. Although it seems not very likely of happening kind of movie, it is just so funny with all of it's sarcasm and hip, cool beat. It is not a teen movie in my opinion! It is a very fun movie, and drop dead hilarious! I recommend to buy the soundtrack, too. It is wonderful!-Alex S.
