Movie Review: Hilarious Movie!!
Summary: 5 Stars
I love this movie!! I never get tired of watching it, and crack up whenever I do.Aykroyd and Hanks make a great team, total opposites, Hanks being the footloose, funny one, and Aykroyd playing the straight, by the book cop. Their antics are so funny you forget the bizarre plot, plus the references the series are well placed as well. What more can I say? Its hilarious, watch and you will crack up.Movie Review: Dragnet....Joe Friday would be proud

This is just a great comedy for everyone..although those of us old enough to have watched the original TV show will surely appreciate it more. Dan Aykroyd was a huge fan of the show and his homage to the show is evident throughout. Tom Hanks is great, too! He's such a good comic actor and this role was perfect for him. I first saw this film when it came out when I was just a kid. I suppose you could say I've grown up watching films like this and THE 'BURBS and other AYKROYD/CHASE/HANKS comedies. whether you are a fan of the original Dragnet series or not, this is a fun movie --- in the same way Airplane spoofed Airport, this film gives a comedic twist to the most serious situation.
Dan Akroyd is wonderfully dry, yet soulful, while Tom Hanks is outrageous, but with a heart.

The cover box says it's widescreen but when played, it's in full screen 8( This is not the first time I had this problem, happened to my Beverly Hills Complete Line-up collection too. Well, I still give it 5 stars since it's DRAGNET!!!
