Movie Reviews of DraculaMovie Review: Best Dracula of All Summary: 5 Stars
I am excited about this movie being released on DVD. The acting
by Frank Langella, the beautiful Kate Nelligan as Lucy, and the great Olivier as Van Helsing is superb, as is the story line and ending. The atmosphere and scences compliment eachother. I believe this to be one of the most entertaining and intense Dracula versions ever made. you will not be disappointed with this one!
And it shall arrive just in time for Halloween!

Movie Review: Dracula Summary: 5 Stars
I remember seeing this movie for the first time when I was in the 11th grade. My friends and I loved it and went to see it 3 times. I bought the VHS version of the movie a few years ago and couldn't wait for the DVD version to be released. The color is just as I remember it - dark and moody. I wouldn't want to see it alive (no pun intended) with color - it would spoil the mood. The name of the movie is DRACULA - it should be spooky. Glad to see it was finally released on DVD.
Movie Review: This is the most wonderful slice of cheese ever put on DVD Summary: 5 Stars
I was thrilled when this came out on DVD! I think this is one of the worst adaptations of the story of Dracula! It is nothing like the Edward Gorey inspired play that made Langella famous in the roll, it is directed by a genious, has a stellar cast, wonderful score (John Williams for pete sake!) but it is all wrong.
Why do I love it so? Because it is all wrong. It makes no sense to me, I'm not a "goth" nut or anything, but I love this movie!
Movie Review: A Love Story with a Bite Summary: 5 Stars
World-class actors in a famous story set against incredible backgrounds with a John Williams score makes this my favorite Dracula movie. Frank Langella's sensuous portrayal of the vampire is intelligent and fun to watch as he crosses foils with Laurence Olivier's Van Helsing in the classic battle for Kate Nelligan's soul as Lucy. Donald Pleasance balances out the action with his gift for understatement and wit. This is a must-see version.
Movie Review: They don't make 'em like they used to! Summary: 5 Stars
The editorial review is WAY off on this one! This is by far the best Dracula made to date. The actors were perfect for their roles and the script and directing makes it a classic. Frank Langella's portrayal of the character is sensual, alluring, and a perfect example of the bad boy you should stay away from but are inexplicably drawn to! My sister and I can't watch this enough times!!!
