Movie Review: Makes the short list for a good date movie
Summary: 5 Stars
Every single hetro guy should maintain a list of good date DVDs. Movies which you don't mind seeing again, arn't necessarily "chick flicks", but flicks that said chicks will enjoy, and that set the right mood for a good, gettin-to-know-ya kind of evening. "The Princess Bride" belongs on this list. And so does this movie. Its funny and romantic, never too serious, but also not fluffy or sacherine.Movie Review: Some great insights

The movie is full of insights about what women love but never admit. "Behind the scene" picture of women's hidden passion and desire (in the unconscious) that they search for. Don Juan DeMarco is man with whom any woman will TRY not to fall in love but cannot help it. A high dose of romantic fantasy(???) with mixtures of real life feelings.
A must see for all real men.

First, I've always considered Marlon Brando to be over-rated...could never stand his on-screen persona. HOWEVER, for this film, he was wonderful, sweet and charming and, fortunately, his charactor "woke up" in time to recapture his lovely wife. As for Johnny Depp...wonderful, as always. I think I`ve written that line before... But who cares? This is a well written, amusing piece of entertainment.... You`ll love the interplay between Brando and Depp... Miss Dunaway`s character is under-developed, but overall - a good film... It brings u back to the days of Valentino and make-believe... I watched this movie last night and one thing I know I did say is "I need to make my husband watch this movie." haha I don't watch that many romantic movies but I definately did enjoy this one. If you are looking to watch a classic romantic movie you definately need to watch this one. Oh, and Johnny Depp does an excellent job protraying Don Juan!
