Movie Reviews of Doggie CutsMovie Review: A little disappointed Summary: 3 Stars
I was really looking forward to getting this DVD after all the good reviews I read about it. I mainly bought this video for my Benji like terrier mix. But when I watched it I was disappointed that the video didn't cover much on how to cut long hair on the body. They did little trims here and there, but not anything major. However, I did like the trimming around the feet. That worked out really well for me. The only other thing that I really liked about the video was showing how to give a dog a bath properly. Overall, it was hard to get my dog to hold still long enough to give her a hair cut despite their tips. I think the video would work pretty well if you had another person to help you cut the dog's hair and keep them steady. Also I didn't like the fact that this DVD was only one track as one other reviewer had mentioned. This video would be good for just a basic knowledge of how to trim certain areas rather than to give a full hair cut.
Movie Review: Not as good as I thought it would be Summary: 3 Stars
I was rather disappointed w/this DVD.
If you are a first time dog owner--the bathing and health tips would be helpful. I found parts of the grooming to be helpful and some things not as inclusive as I had hoped for. Also for someone who has never used clippers before I think it would have been helpful to go thru some clipper basics.
My main complaint is the format of the DVD. There is no way to go back and review selected material--you just have to fast forward from the beginning and try to get to where you want to go. It was such an aggravation.
I think I'd keep looking for a better DVD if I had it to do over.
Movie Review: A groomers tool Summary: 3 Stars
The DVD is helpful on seeing how to groom several dog breeds and proper bathing techniques. The step by step grooming lessons make it easy to follow, but it doesn't show enough visual angles to be able to see the entire dog, but it is definately worth the investment.
Movie Review: Good but has room for more information..... Summary: 2 Stars
The DVD is a bit expensive for it's contents. Despite of all the good reviews, never once in the entire DVD did he explain how to trim the dogs legs. He only demonstrates how to trim the bottom of the paws. Needless to say, if you are like me that owns a dog with long hair or wants to do a kind of style cut on your dogs legs like the round ball cut on a puddle's lower leg or any other type of style you will be clueless.
Movie Review: Not as easy as it looks Summary: 2 Stars
Hello, I don't have much to say, but I think it would be nice if we could get a Shih Tzu in the picture or something.
Anyway, my pesos could have been better spent on buying a decent doggie clipper which by the way cost well over $1XX.xx.
If you have never cut dog hair (not fur) then you will probably not see much benefit from this DVD.
