Movie Review: Excellent Content - Highly Recommended

This superb video effectively covers everything from A to Z, and then some. I am a professional groomer, and I am extremely satisfied with the vast content of this video. It is the first and only grooming video that I have viewed that I would recommend for home grooming. All the essentials are there for a complete and good-looking haircut.The Certified Master Groomer in the video is excellent, as are his easy to follow techniques, which effectively covers every basic major breed including any mixed breed dog. His simple haircutting techniques will enable the home groomer to easily cut and groom any type of hair on virtually any dog. (I was even able to pick up a few new things that will improve my own professional haircutting technique.) The quality of the video is superior. The cuts are shown in great detail--and they are not rushed--simple and easily learned, both clipping and scissoring. As a professional groomer, I was very impressed.
I was also pleased that the groomer took the necessary time to demonstrate how to keep the dogs calm and well behaved throughout the entire grooming session. This important information is helpful in calming even very aggressive dogs, which is very important for maintaining a safe grooming session. There were numerous other grooming tips throughout the entire video covering safety, preparation, hygiene (including cleaning the ears and teeth, etc.), bathing, toenail clipping, etc.
If you are serious about learning home grooming, I highly recommend the Doggie Cuts video (I purchased the DVD format) to use as your guide. Take good care of your pets! :o)
Movie Review: Perfect for the Beginner or Amateur Home Groomer

This video is exactly what I was hoping for. I had put off buying it for over two years because I had absolutely no experience grooming my dogs and I was afraid that it would not help me and that I wouldn't be able to learn to do the job myself. But, when I saw that it was also available on DVD, I finally decided to take a chance on purchasing it, and I was pleased to discover that Doggie Cuts really pays off in a big way.The video is geared toward teaching a "beginner" how to give their dog a general, good-looking, basic grooming and styling. I learned all of the basic cuts from the video in about an hour. I was actually able to give both my yorkie and my poodle simple, yet professional-looking haircuts. It was very rewarding for me. The groomer was very friendly and he paced himself and his haircutting demonstrations for the novice grooming student. It was always very easy to see what he was doing as he described it. He even explained how to keep my dogs (and myself) relaxed at all times, which helped make the haircutting (and bathing) fun and enjoyable.
If you are inexperienced and looking to learn how to give your dog a complete haircut, or even just a trim, this is definitely the video that will help you do that. It even taught me how to trim their toenails myself (that alone costs me $20 each time at the vet's office). The haircutting techniques shown will be easy to use on any kind of dog too. If your dog needs regular haircuts and you want to learn how to do it yourself, I strongly recommend that you buy this DVD.
Movie Review: Great learning tool for a Newbie

After paying to have my Yorkie groomed I decided to purchase this item. I am Not sorry I did. When my Yorkie was a baby she never minded being bathed or groomed but I found she hated anything to do with her bath time after going to a so called groomer. Now she is re-learning how great bathing, grooming and a message can feel again.
The infomation you need is great along with many suggestions to help you bathe and groom. I also found that after reading many grooming books on the breed, you learn quicker visually with this DVD. This DVD is great! and you can have it playing while you learn to groom. I Love this product! I now am grooming my Yorkie, Paige and am receiving many compliments when we go out. (Some have even asked me to groom their dogs too) I have made a 'few' errors but the nice part is, their hair will grow back ...lol I would recommend this to anyone who wants a real bonding time with their pet...while saving money at the same time. I don't think you will be sorry if you purchase this product. I also found that while grooming Paige I can also get a good look at her skin etc. as I am always checking to make sure she is in good health.
Movie Review: Doggie Cuts...Yes, Thank You!

This very helpful DVD instructed me on how to groom our two standard Poodles and also our American Cocker Spaniel, from start to finish...even the lovely poodle topknot and foot precision cuts were shown. For years I was intimidated to attempt doing this myself, but the groomer in the video thoroughly demonstrates so many different cuts at an easy-to-keep-up pace, and is so geared toward teaching the novice, like myself, that it actually turned out to be fun and very rewarding. It wasn't scary or overwhelming as I had imagined. I also finally learned how to trim our dog's toenails, and I discovered the benefits of proper bathing and other care issues, as shown and discussed. I highly recommend this excellent DVD to anyone who has any breed of dog that requires a haircut. All that said, along with it's very reasonable price, I give Doggie Cuts Amazon.com's top rating.Movie Review: Doggie Cuts

Doggie Cuts was definitely worth buying because I am trying to groom both a Yorkie and a Mini Snauser at home, and both are demonstrated on the DVD. First I made some notes, but then I went and watched it again and a third time (so far). Each time I pick up a tip that I didn't know about before. I screwed up one part of the Yorkie's cut, and can't wait for the hair to grow back out for me to try again. Otherwise, I did good. This isn't a good book for a professional doing show dogs, but it is a great book for someone trying to do a good job at home.
