Movie Review: A ten star horror!!!
Summary: 5 Stars
So eerie and realistic you can smell the blood! I loved the action, the beautiful scenery of the Scottish highlands and the characters. When soldiers go into the woods for what they think is a routine military drill they don't realized they're being used by another special operations team as bait! I loved the extra twist of a smart werewolf-one that knows how to unzip a tent and sabotage a car, etc. This is a great movie if you're throwing a Halloween bash, but don't serve hotdogs or sausage. Lot's of guts get spilled in this one... I've watched it about twenty times to date and still love the witty dialogue, etc. I heard them talk of a sequel in the commentary. If anyone knows of a sequel and its title please tell me. I'm wearing this DVD out! Neil Marshal also came out with 'The Descent' which is excellent horror as well...

Movie Review: A True Love For the Genre...

This film draws inspiration from the very best elements of many horror/SF films and successsfully wraps them around a lycanthropic theme. The werewolves are top notch---some of the very best ever depicted on screen (no kidding...and no CGI, either! )---and the acting is superb. What a rare and wondrous combination to find a film that simultaneously forces the viewer to love its antagonists (in this case, the lycanthropes)and identify with the very human protagonists (the soldiers). This is a remarkable effort, and I can only hope to see a sequel of equal intensity in the near future. As far as effects go, It's "The Howling" meets "An American Werewolf in London" and a refreshing twist of everything in between. Truly inspired horror for die-hard genre fans and casual viewers alike.Movie Review: C'MON ALL YOU NAYSAYERS - IT'S A H O O T!!!

This is a GREAT film on so many planes, it's simply beyond me that anyone wouldn't love it! It's a HOOT. It's a black comedy-horror-drama-thiller-action movie with a little kitsch tossed-in just to keep it balanced. Tee hee.
It is SMART; it is FUNNY; and it has its moments of horror, tension and well-choreographed military action.
The script is superb: It's cleverly written and and just plain makes you smile, okay all you snooty pooties out there? And make NO mistake, there ARE doses of action, horror, suspense and thrills.
Forget the plot; forget the low budget. Let yourself be entertained by another "cult classic".
You will NOT be disappointed! Trust me...
Movie Review: Neil Marshall is batting 2 for 2

I love Dog Soldiers and his latest highly regarded film, The Descent. This guy is the going to be the horror director of this generation. Move over Eli Roth and learn from this man. Sean Pertwee and Kevin McKidd deliver some of the strongest performances you will ever see in a horror film. You will actually care about these characters, and even if you don't, the gore, funny lines, and scares will keep you enthralled the entire running time. If you ever wanted to see a werewolf action film, where the wolves are actually intimidating and scary (the werewolve costumes blow away anything CGI could have done), you should have already bought yourself a copy. I can't wait to see what Neil Marshall comes up with next!Movie Review: 5 Stars
extremely fun as hell to watch. Thanks to the 215 reviewers on this movie, I can now say as of yesterday , I'm the proud owner of this movie! Never heard of it, never seen it and I will say, THANK GOD FOR NO CGI This is 1 of the best Werewolf movies made. The acting in my honest opinion was awesome. The costumes were top notch on those wolves too. I just finished watcing this and I will probably watch it again this weekend, it was that damn good. A buddy of mine is going to buy it also since he saw the middle of it and loved what he saw while I was watching it. A must buy for anyone who loves war type flicks or Werewolf movies. I love both those types of movies so this was amazing!!!
