Movie Review: Nice introduction to belly dance

This box set is well produced and tasteful.
The technique is solid and excellent for any beginner.
Both Veena and Neena are good dancers and have good presence.
The set design is nice, the music is good and the dancers' custumes were not over the top.
I hoped it contained more repetitions per move but one can always play each section again individually.
I also liked that the individual moves lead to the choreagraphy for a mini performance. Many videos provide instruction on the moves but not how they all work together into one beautiful performance.

It's a very useful tool on how to get the craft of bellydancing to work. Granted you do have to practice intensively (meaning you have to watch this more than one time) but it's great to finally get some small moves down to form a great dance. At the end of each dvd you are given choreography to follow. At first I thought I couldn't remember it but surprisingly the moves are easy to follow and you do pick up speed once you have the knack for it. It's also a great workout, YOU WILL SWEAT! This DVD collection is so much fun to perform. It takes you into the intricate details of the mechanics of bellydance and really shows you how to perform it correctly. And Veena and Neena make it so much fun. I enjoy listening to them instruct, they make it look so easy and make you want to learn more. The different styles of dance they show you makes it even more fun to play up the styles for many things, such as a romantic evening or at a party if you feel up to it!!!

This DVD set is wonderful. They reallt do teach you step by step moves. It takes practice of course and requires coordination but you can move on as you improve. It also enables you to select different sections on the DVD so that you can go over and over the routines without having to fast forward through the instruction part. It also includes several routines to watch and learn from at the end of each DVD. I would highly recommend this DVD set!Movie Review: "Discover Bellydance"

I bought these DVDs based on some of the reviews that I read here and also because I own one of Neena and Veena's Beginner DVDs. They really break the steps down. It's so much fun to bellydance. It is a wonderful way to exercise. I've taken quite a few bellydance classes and this is just like being in a class with an instructor. I highly recommend "Natural Journey's" products. I own a lot of their DVDs and they are all great videos.
