Movie Reviews of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels

Movie Review: One of THE most funny movies :-()
Summary: 5 Stars

This is outright hilarious. I admit I haven't seen the original version, but this one is fantastic. It's choc full of witty and intelligent humour and it's well acted too. Back in the day when I first saw this, I didn't see the ending coming. Who would have guessed. Without giving anything away, in a nutshell Steve Martin and Michael Caine compete to see who can swindle a set amount of dollars off a particular lady first. It's a riot watching these two act out bizzare plots just to win the cash. You must see this - you will be in stitches.

Movie Review: Simply the Best!
Summary: 5 Stars

This movie has all the classic elements - setting (French Riviera), actors (Martin and Caine), plot (twists galore), sohistication (how to really put one over on the rich) and COMEDY (oh, so many levels). Martin and Caine play so well together it is entertainment at its best!
We never tire of watching this movie again. It will always produce a lot of laughs. The characters are rich and polished, each in their own unique way.
Highly recommended as an antidote to depression!

Movie Review: One Of My Favorite Movies.
Summary: 5 Stars

Why is the cork on the fork?

This is my favorite Steve Martin comedy. It's smarter than anything else he's done, appeals to my sense of humor, and still has some crazy stuff, like Ruprecht the monkey boy.

Once you suspend disbelief and settle yourself comfortably in this story, you'll have a really fun couple of hours.

One of the few comedies I can see over and over (like 'Pillow Talk' or 'Noises Off'). A good one to own, since you never have to cover your kids' eyes or ears.

Movie Review: Absolutely funny
Summary: 5 Stars

The first time I watched this film I noticed there are many similarities between this film and a classical film "Bedtime Story" ,which performed by David Niven and Marlon Brando. However the play of Steve Martin and Michael Caine made the film very interesting . Although Steve Martin is well known for the films like "Jerk" and " A Man with Two Brains" this is my most favorite Steve Martin film. All characters in this comedy film are charlatans except a lovely lady but...

Movie Review: Sophisticated Comedy Doesn't Get Any Better Than This
Summary: 5 Stars

This is one of the best comedy films of the past 50 years -- intelligent, intriguing, classy and, above all, hilarious. It stands up well to repeat viewings, doesn't gain any staleness at all, and the handful of bust-out-laughing instances are so good that you still laugh out loud even if you've seen them five times. Steve Martin, Michael Caine and Glenne Headley gave absolutely superlative performances, and I hope they all had a lot of fun making this film.
