Movie Review: Good show!
Summary: 5 Stars
Having never seen the video, I was very happy with this DVD. It's Dire Straits live at their best. There is a spectacular version of Private Investigation that really makes the song memorable, thanks to Mark Knopfler's magical guitar work.There are also great performances of Heavy Fuel and The Bug.
I enjoy this DVD very much. I have watched it a few times and it gets better each time.

This is a great show by an ultra talented band. The only drawback is that it's in 2 channel however if you have an above average digital receiver and good speakers (i.e. not little plastic ones) you can put it in Pro Logic II and get great surround sound.
I would have loved to have been at this show.
Buy it if you're a DS fan, you won't be sorry.

I have bought hundreds of music DVD's and have appreciated the sound and quality of maybe 30 to 40 of these purchases. Dire Straits "On The Night" the quality is excellent. Dire Straits fans will love this. Song fans though, please look at the song listing. Two of my favorites; Sultans of Swing and Expresso Love are not played here.

Great Concert!!!
I've had the cd for years but it's always nice to actually see those fingers. I am a huge Knopfler fan and have seen him live 4 times. This DVD brings me right back to the show. CLASSIC DIRE STRAITS!! I Highly Recommend it for any fan of the band or any fan of guitar.

Mark Knopfler walks on stage and it's time to live on "solid rock". Very good performance by Dire Straits and fantastic opportunity to see the white Jimi Hendrix (Yeah baby!) do his "latest tricks" on the guitar. How can you go wrong listening to this?Great show!
