Movie Reviews of Digimon - The Movie

Movie Review: Officialy the best movie I've ever seen
Summary: 5 Stars

...My favorite movies are Twice Upon A Time, Ducktales The Movie, and Pokemon The Movie 2000. And then there is this one.
It's SO COOL!!!
As many people know, this movie is from 3 seperate OVAs (which are Japanese movies that last an hour or less) that came out and took place before the series started, six months after the 1st season, and sometime during the second season (like several weeks after they defeated the Digimon Emperor.)
The only bad thing about this movie is that they completely re-wrote the script and rearranged the scenes so it looks like all 3 OVAs are linked together, and they cut out more than 40 minutes of the original films. Let's name a few of the parts that were cut/edited.
1. Tai, Matt and the other old digidestined were kidnapped by Kokomon in the 3rd movie.
2. Kokomon was not really attacked by the virus.
3. In the first movie, Tai and Kari didn't know, or were not well aquainted with the other digidestined.
4. Izzy didn't get an email from Willis, just some other kid.
5. Davis, Yolei and Cody, hitchhiked all the way to America.
6. Terriermon's original in-trainig name is Gummimon.
7. 'Kokomon' was dancing earlier on in the 3rd movie, not at the end (which would have made a lot more sense.)
8. Willis's name is originally Wallace. He also really lives in New York.
9. In the first movie, Koromon and Greymon never talked.
10. I'm not Indonesian, I'm American.
To find out about other stuff that they cut out, go to websites like ... or .... Anyway it's still a good movie. And for those of you who wonder why Agumon was so big in the first movie, I'm not going to tell. They made a 4th movie to Digimon which has Ken in it. They are also working on a fifth which will occur in the third season (ugh) but, when it will come out in America still remains a mystery.
And that's about it. And for those of you who think Pokemon and Digimon are the same, well you've got some nerve (read the other reviews to see the differences).
And one more thing, Sora wrote back to Tai apologizing.

Summary of Digimon - The Movie

DIGIMON:MOVIE - DVD Movie
Like the similar Pokémon craze, the animated Digimon TV series has spawned a full-length theatrical film. The two phenomena are similar: kids collect monsters and go on adventures. While Pokémon has a sense of odyssey and a wisp of a moral, Digimon is flat-out rough-and-tumble adventure. Can an adult figure out the digi-details of the digi-world? Here's a digi-shot. That world is full of evolving monsters that live and fight in their own ways. The digi-world and real world can intermix, and one of the portals is the Internet. So kids sit at their laptops and fight with their digi-monsters in an abstract environment that looks like something from Tron but with none of the cool. The first 50 of 83 minutes is backstory that takes place eight years earlier. So everyone is grown up (as the time frame leaps over all the original Digimon TV shows), and Digimon and humans interact on Earth. A bad digi-virus is bent on revenge, and it will take more than a laptop to defend the planet. That said, if the end of the world ever looms, a golden digi-egg will be a good thing to have. (Ages 6 to 12) --Doug Thomas
