Movie Review: More traditional feel but incredible impact
Summary: 5 Stars
This movie played havoc with my emotions. It is just heart wrenching at times and SRK is beyond exceptional. Ash is very good too (a little too good at playing the immature earlier version of her figure as she was irritating at that point but she grows the character up and really brings the emotion out). It is more traditional in its dances but is beautiful to look at and very poetic. It demands more of the viewer but definitely worth the journey unless you prefer light and frothy -which it isn't.Movie Review: Great film! Great Music and Great story line...

This film captured my heart completely. Bolly wood is known for its love triangles but I have never seen one with this type of story line and great acting and just a wonderful picture all together. In so many films be it bollywood or hollywood how often do we see a man dying for a women? its always the women who will die for the man who has no feelings for her. I can not say anything bad about this film but do buy and do watch over and over again.Movie Review: Brilliant movie

Being a Shah Rukh Khan fan I have to say once again, his acting is outstanding! this movie is absolutely amazing. the story grabs you from the very start to finish. The love Devdas and Paro have is felt through the screen. The pain they go through is also felt and brings you to tears. Beautiful movie that will now be part of my library. I think of this as more a chick flick, because it can be extra corny at times, but hey I am a chick and I totally fell in love with this movie- the singing, dancing, and of course it can be SO depressing. Regardless, in my opinion a great chick flick (I can't see my husband watching this) and the first Bollywood film I really like and can watch again and again- I am new to Bollywood.Movie Review: Excellent !

Excellen film, really a poem !!
The first time I was told about DEVDAS was in 2003 during my trip to India. At that time I got the CD and the music is so lovely even if one can't understand the lyrics. Now, I have the DVD with the whole story and I think this is a beautiful performance. Don't miss it if possible. This is a love story not like a bad American style.
