Movie Reviews of Deconstructing HarryMovie Review: My Favorite Woody Allen Film Summary: 5 Stars
Being a HUGE fan of The WoodMan, I have concluded that this ismy favorite of all of his films so far. The film follows the thoughtsand stories from the mind of Harry Block, a well-known and respected writer whose stories reflect much too closely on those who he has inter-acted with in the past. This draws fire and confrontation from ex-wives, girlfriends, sister - basically, everyone he has come in contact with. The film moves in and out throughout these "stories", mixing real-life with Harry's version of real-life. These stories are well-integrated throughout, with the typical Woody Allen neuroticism and pessimism. It's a darker side of life than most his films, but it's a side that I loved getting to know. A writer who can't exist in real-life, but only in the fiction that he has created?
Movie Review: incredible Summary: 5 Stars
This is by far my favorite woody allen film . most people who discredit the movie do so because of course language and/or typical woody allen roles and situations. well, if you can't take a little vulgarity, f__k off this movie's not for you. It's not potty humor, it's unfiltered dialogue fitted to the characters and the situations they find themselves in. As for the typical allen scenerios of love triangles and even squares, that's what has made him. Would you expect a woody allen film where he is not nuerotic, or tense, or in constant insecurity? Then don't expect one in which all the angles of relationships are dissected and exploited.
Movie Review: a masterpiece Summary: 5 Stars
One of the funniest movies ever made.
Woody Allen is an acquired taste, like oysters. If you like'm on the half shell, he hit this crustacean out of the lagoon.
The "elevator to hell" bit had me in tears. Pookie the hooker, and the whole crew on the road trip to the university -- well, who else but Woody Allen conjures up this kind of stuff and puts it on film?
Writing, acting, directing...everyone was in synch with Mr. Allen's history, angst, sturm, drang and reputation.
An absolute masterpiece.
Thanks, Woody.
Movie Review: The half of the sin is the scandal! Summary: 5 Stars
This film is the most acid and bitter in all the filmography . Don't expect you are invited just to watch another film of Woody Allen . This work plays hard and challenges you . Allen literally makes a social surgeon abou a lot of aspects considered as normal by mostly of us .
Allen has never been so merciless in any other movie . There is a remarkable point what the creation means : all creation demands the destruction of the previous order .
With this advise in mind , just proceed to watch it . You will laugh but the result may be in many cases a forced smile .
Movie Review: The Dark Side Summary: 5 Stars
This is one of Allen's darker films and immediately any Allen fan can tell because of how raw it is... Allen's films are usually devoid of foul language but this one seems to be cowritten by Quentin Tarantino. Needless to say, this may be the perfect movie for any person who has enjoyed a Woody Allen film but who has said that all of his movies are the same. The plot is clever, a writer makes enemies with everyone he knows because his books are a little too close to fact. As dark as this film is, I must say that it still is hilarious. Another brilliant Woody Allen flick...
