Movie Reviews of Death at a FuneralMovie Review: Hysterically funny Summary: 5 Stars
I highly recommend this movie. I rented it on the advice of one of my daughter's friends. It slowly builds momentum (unusual for a comedy) and for the last half hour it is one laugh after another. I was wiping my eyes by the end.
The movie is a farce, slapstick, wacky and eccentric to the extreme....but a good extreme. Terribly un-PC, nevertheless it is a wonderfully amusing movie about a subject that is rarely satirized.
Movie Review: Laughs alive and well at this funeral! Summary: 5 Stars
I loved the subtle humor of this movie and the interesting twists. Things unravel for a family at a funeral when it turns out the deceased has been hiding an uncomfortable secret from his sons and wife. Add an accidental drug mishap to the fray and you have a hilarious 'misadventure'. The comedy has a light touch and the humor isn't overplayed, leaving it seem natural despite the bizarre events.

Movie Review: Hilarious Summary: 5 Stars
I watched this movie at a friend's house early in the year; I didn't realize it was a comedy and I didn't realize how hilarious the film was. I have watched this movie over and over and still my cheeks are soar from laughing. I bought it for my sister as a birthday gift so now the both of us can watch it all the time. I highly recommend anyone renting this film but have no doubt you would want to own it.
Movie Review: Laugh till you cry Summary: 5 Stars
This was a wonderful movie! The person I watched the movie with was laughing so hard he said he couldn't watch any more - but he did. He was laughing so hard that tears were running down his face and he was falling off the couch! In these times of sad movies, movies with messages, movies with so much drama - it was a great release to laugh out loud during a wonderful movie. I recommend this movie to everyone.
Movie Review: A gem of a farce! Summary: 5 Stars
Scriptwriter, Dean Craig, has cleverly woven character threads together to create hilarious and absurd juxtapositions in "Death at a Funeral". The cast is a strong group of actors who pull off the comedy brilliantly, with Matthew Macfadyen's straight-faced character the focal point and glue that holds it all together. What a gem! You'll want to watch it more than once.
