Movie Reviews of Death at a Funeral

Movie Review: Hysterical
Summary: 5 Stars

My husband and I went to see this in the theaters and couldn't wait to get the DVD when it came out. This movie turns a normally sad event-- a funeral-- into a comedy that makes you laugh so hard your stomach hurts. We both had tears rolling down our cheeks.

The whole movie is about one man's funeral and how his family handles the stresses that pop up during such a terrible event. One thing after another goes wrong... and it's hysterical!

Movie Review: HILARIOUS!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

This is the original Death at a Funeral. British. I haven't seen the new American version and I don't want to... and I'm an American! This movie was sooo freakin hilarious I couldn't breath. I don't know that it's new American counterpart can live up to the expectation. It's starts off leaving you to wonder, "hmm... is this going to be any good?" but within a few minutes (once you reach the funeral), it's on! Rolling funny... definitely a bestseller!

Movie Review: Funniest Movie In A Long Time
Summary: 5 Stars

Death At A Funeral is the funniest movie I've enjoyed in a long time. Although the title may indicate it to be a maudlin type of movie, it is
anything but. The actors, while not a well known group of people, excel at their character roles. It is a bit of British humor that had every American in the theatre, where I first viewed it, and everyone at home viewing the DVD in histerical laughter. Even the credits are hilarious.

Movie Review: Good Ol' Brit Dark Comedy
Summary: 5 Stars

Death at a Funeral takes you on a dark grin of a path when what can go wrong, does. Between the writing and the actors, the plot line can leave you with a sweet after taste. I found myself laughing at every corner and thinking, "Oh no, seriously?" Done perfectly in british style without the hollywood glamour.
I highly recommend this as well as many of my friends who asked if I had seen it yet, and stated, "You must see this film!"

Movie Review: if you want to laugh ...
Summary: 5 Stars

I haven't laughed so hard at a movie ... in a very long time. And i don't like British humor! I was laughing so hard at the Uncle-Alfie-goes-to-the-bathroom scene, I couldn't even see - couldn't get my eyes open! Made 3 attempts to view that particular scene, think I finally caught most of it ... my sides and face hurt! You may need to keep the sound up, to hear and make out what those Brits are saying, but this was a very funny movie.
