Movie Review: We loved it; perfect if you like a British sense of humour

A very funny British farce about family dysfunction, death, and the range of human emotions/foibles. Watching without a laugh track or a theatre audience, not every gag is immediately obvious. But relax and go with the story -- it grows more and more amusing, with a touching ending. Please be sure you like British-style humor; this isn't in-your-face slapstick and dick jokes (but there is significant scatalogical humor). Excellent cast, direction, and storyline all around. We actually watched it twice and enjoyed it even more on the second run. Very fun.Movie Review: Best comedy I've seen in years

.......and probably the best I've ever seen. I bought this movie on a whim having never heard anything about it. What a treat this turned out to be. It is wonderfully written, acted, and directed. Several subplots are ingeniously woven into a very, very funny movie. Ignore the 1 star reviewers - one can only assume they don't "get" British humor. Everyone I've played this for has had the same reaction to it, and judging from the vast majority of the reviews here, most people find it as hilarious as my friends and I have.Movie Review: BLOODY GOOD FUN!!!

I LIKE TO READ THE ONE STAR NEGATIVE REVIEWS. SOME PEOPLE REALLY DON'T HAVE A "SENSE OF HUMOR" IT SEEMS!
AT FIRST WHEN I SAW THE "MENU" PAGE AND SOME "DUMB GUY" ROMPING ABOUT THE YARD AT A BRITISH ESTATE I THOUGHT, "WOW, THIS IS REALLY GOING TO BE A SILLY, STUPID FILM." BUT, AS USUAL, I WAS "WAY OFF THE MARK". THIS IS A VERY CLEVER AND FUNNY FILM OF ITS GENRE. I THINK IT WILL BECOME A "CLASSIC FILM" IN THE FUTURE. AT LEAST SEE IT, AND MAKE UP YOUR OWN MIND. I actually went to our local indie film house for this and loved it. Of course, my husband is British and we love all the British farce we can get our hands on. Classic slapstick, it will keep you laughing right up until the end. If you liked "Muriel's Wedding", "Four Weddings and a Funeral" or even "Very Bad Things" (American) you'll like this. It is a bit on the dark side of funny...ok, it's a LOT on the dark side of funny but it's so worth the watch. Peter Dinklage was an absoulute scream. Literally.Movie Review: slapstick but funny

If you like British humor I can't see how you could not love this movie. The plot thickens around a mistakenly given drug overdose of hallucinatory drugs to the husband to be of the daughter of the deceased who are on their way to the funeral. The funeral is being held at the country home/estate of the deceased. The laughs begin immediately and they last till the end. I won't ruin the movie by divulging anymore of the plot! I watched it twice in two days.
