Movie Review: For Any Fan
Summary: 5 Stars
Though definitely not as suspenseful as the manga, this movie has it's highlights. Kenichi Matsuyama steals it all in his portrayal of the quirky detective, L. And though the CGI is a little tough to take, on the whole the movie is easy to watch.
Most importantly, it does justice to the original series, unlike many live action remakes.
The DVD sound and image quality are excellent, so if you're a fan of Death Note, this is a must.

Yagami Light is a brilliant college student who, one day, finds a notebook simply titled "Death Note." Inside of this book is a list of rules and details as for the use of the "Death Note." When he realizes the power he holds, he decides he's going to make over the world. He wants to make it into a better place by killing those who do others harm. He has been nicknamed by the police "Kira."
