Movie Review: This is what I think.
Summary: 3 Stars
If you have played Dead Space, and you really like the game and your a big fan. Then yeah get this. If not, you might wanna rent it. I mean it's still cool to see if you have nothing else to watch.
The animation is eh..I believe if they could have spent more money on this it could have been better. But whatever, I say if you a huge fan and love the game then why not. Tells you what happened to the point where you play the game.
Not saying its a fantastic movie and you gotta see this. I gave it a 3 cause it's just so-so nothing horrible but nothing really great either.

Dead Space: Downfall (Chuck Patton, 2008)
Short (seventy-four minute), sweet animated flick that did exactly what it was supposed to in my case: made me want to play Dead Space. Conceived as a prequel to the game, it tells the story of how the artifact (and the zombies) got onto the ship in the first place. A fun story and some decent voice acting, but the level of animation is somewhere between Saturday morning cartoons and Terrence and Philip. For hardcore videogame fans rather than animation buffs, but as long as you're willing to accept the crude animation, not too bad. ** ½

I did a full review of this movies actually, but I'm a big fan of anime and this isn't it at all. It's not that great of a movie really, the animation is not good at all, it seems like something that was rushed out to get released in time for the game. The acting is bad overall as well. As the prelude to the Dead Space game it's worth seeing, but don't buy it new, or really just borrow it to see it, it's really not worth having in a collection. It seems like a kids animation with blood and gore thrown in, just not good at all.Movie Review: OK, Good Prequal

Thoe not nearly as good as its Sequal Game this Animated flick is not bad. The story is good i just fould the animation a little out-dated even for the basics.
Taking place days before the game and continued the story until the Games opening Cinematic. I'm not going to go into it due its intricate nature both in film and in game.
Full of Red Blooded gore and Disfigured Zombie-Like Monsters. Its a dont miss for any fan of the Game.

Ilove the game deadspace but the movie was just ok. yes it shows how the ishamura eventually was overwhemled with te alien species but honestly any attacment to any characters is quickly cut cold turkey when everyone kicked the bucket. all in all i would only recommend to hardcore deadspace fans.
