Movie Review: An incoherent, but mildly amusing, mess
Summary: 2 Stars
The art style of this is interesting in that it's more reminiscent of Ted McKeever than anything Japanese I've ever seen. Everything else is kind of a mess. The plot makes no sense, the characters are flat and have no motivations behind their actions, the action sequences are profoundly unsatisfying, the protagonists are unlikable, the movie really has no conclusion or resolution, and there are about 3 lines of dialogue, each of which is uniformly horrible. The movie is too weird for mainstream consumption and not weird enough for cult status (e.g. FLCL). It abounds with cliches.
Not recommended. Ok if it's on TV.

*****Plot Spoilers Abound*****
In the first 3 minutes of the movie, the characters (one male, with a TV for a head, one female with a weird eye) wake up naked and without any notion of their identity. They proceed to do the sensible thing to find their identity - which is of course to go on a GTA-style killing rampage. A chase sequence ensues. They're shipped off to moonjail. They proceed to have sex in strait jackets, meet violent and evil guards (who they eventually kill), and the other inmates (who have a mutant cluster or are clones or something). One inmate has a penis that's also a drill. Yes, really. Oh so anyway they escape, killing everything in the way. Then the female lead is inexplicably pregnant from the earlier sexual encounter. They fight the evil warden who, it turns out is the female lead's sister or mother or something. Then she turns into a giant caterpillar, the female gives birth and the child grows up, explodes and they all get on a ship. They never find out anything about their identities. Then the OVA ends.
