Movie Reviews of De Nadie

Movie Review: Yes, it does have ENGLISH subtitles
Summary: 5 Stars

ENGLISH SUBTITLES - YES! (I don't know how the other reviewer here got a DVD copy without them- I would hate to think anyone missed out on this film because they thought it doesn't have english subtitles). Amos Lassen wrote a very good review here in the reviews section, I don't think I have much more to add - somehow the interviewer got these Central American immigrants traveling through Mexico to open up to him and share their experiences- the film is very carefully and beautifully edited, splicing pieces of information with the interviews, splicing interviews with other interviews, to make real stories unfold. Masterful, sensitive, brave, honest, can I give it 6 stars?

Movie Review: de Nadie
Summary: 5 Stars

De NadieAs I am a social work student this film left quite an impact. The horrors these immigrants face just to reach Mexico are remarkable. I recommend this film to any one who thinks they know what is going on. I thought I did, but after viewing this film i obviously do not. Heartbreaking at times, but informative. Excellent in all ways

Movie Review: Fantastic eye-opening documentary (and awesome soundtrack)
Summary: 5 Stars

This shocking documentary depicts the difficult journey and struggle of immigrants trying to make it to the US through Mexico and Central America. It provides troubling insight into the abuses suffered at the hands of Mexican authorities. No surprise it won at the Sundance Film Festival.

For music lovers, the incredible soundtrack alone is worth the purchase.

Movie Review: You'll never complain about your life again.
Summary: 5 Stars

This proves to be one of the saddest stories you will ever see. The fact that people live like this, going through the hardships these people go through, carrying on purely through the belief that they will make it to America, is heart-breaking. The people featured in this film are some of the bravest I have ever seen. This documentary is a must-see.

Movie Review: Heartbreaking and poignant
Summary: 5 Stars

I collect documentary films - I now own over four hundred- and very few of them have touched me like this one. It is incredibly heartbreaking but it will put your life in perspective. Although the movie has some minor technical flaws, the stories told here are worth every minute of your time and every penny.
