Movie Review: Hands down, best DMB DVD...period.

There's one band around, though, that still holds to the old-fashioned formula of "put on a good show or consider yourself a failure"- that band is, of course, DMB. Over the years they have made millions off of good record sells and sellout tours, but that hasn't slowed them down at all (Well, maybe a little. They do shorter tours now, but they're family men, what can you do?).

This particular concert comes from their recent 2003 tour that many fans consider to be their best ever, even when it marks their 13th anniversary (hear that, Simple Plan?). In front of 90,000 fans that paid exactly squat to get in, they turned the usually quiet Central Park into DMB Land. They banged out recognizable classics such as "What Would You Say?" and "Crush" as well as fan favorites like "Dancing Nancies" and "Two Step." It was the perfect end to the *almost* perfect tour. My only complaint is I wish there had been some newer material on the setlist. The only LWS/BS songs included were "Where Are You Going?" and "Grey Street." But the upcoming Gorge set is sure to include some more recent songs.

And as for those who are planning to enter into the music business, please take notes. I am. But I can only hope that I can be as convincing live as DMB is.
