Movie Reviews of Dark Shadows DVD Collection 2Movie Review: Maggie is crazy, Barnabas wants his Josette. Summary: 5 Stars
This Dark Shadows DVD collection #2 contains 4-discs with 40 episodes in all. They are in black & white, but very well made. Uncut & unedited.
Last time on Dark Shadows:
Maggie Evans has already been bitten twice by Barnabas Collins. He has brain-washed her into believing she is Josette. Barnabas is a 175 year old vampire (no one knows yet, except for Willie) who has an obsession with Josette. She is now a ghost that walks around the old Collins house that Barnabas now has taken up residency in. He does not know there is a ghost in the house. Only young David has seen her. Barnabas continues to make Maggie believe she is Josette and tonight Barnabas intends to make Maggie his eternal bride. Willie now is a caretaker for Barnabas and he must obey his every order.
As we last left Dark Shadows in Dark Shadows DVD Collection 1, Maggie is still strong-minded and knows she is Maggie Evans and has proof that her father, Sam, has been there. In the basement, Maggie was just about to use the stake on Barnabas, but as his coffin opens, she becomes terrified.
At the Collinwood Mansion, Elizabeth Stoddard is being blackmailed by Jason McGuire because he knows the truth about the disappearance of her husband, Paul, now missing for 18 years. She knows she killed him. Jason is forcing Elizabeth to marry him. All the clues and secrets are down in the basement of the Collinwood Estate and Carolyn is desperate to find out why her mother has had that room locked for 18 years.
