Movie Review: Great entertainment, bad DVD?

I had not seen Dante's Cove before ordering it from Amazon, and while I agree the acting leaves much to be desired, it was lots of fun to watch.
The only problem is that Disc 1 of the first season seems to have some problems. It skips and freezes constantly, getting worse as you get further into the disc. This happens on 3 separate DVD players, plus my computer, so I'm pretty sure it's the disc. Amazon replaced the set for me, but the replacement has the same problems. I'm wondering if anyone else is having problems like this? I'd sure like to know. Unfortunately I may have to return both copies to Amazon for a refund. Maybe I'll have better luck if I purchase from someone else, assuming Amazon just got a bad batch.

I wasnt sure what I was watching when i rented this movie at blockbuster but by the end of season 1 I was HOOKED on Dante's Cove. I loved the characters, the whole tresum plot, and Kevin and Toby are my new favorite TV couple 4 sure, Never before and probably never again will there be another show like this and for that alone i had to go out an buy my own copy. And I'm completely happy I did. I hope this show continues to do well and more people enjoy it as much as I do..I cant wait for season 2 to be released already..I'm dying to find out what happens nextMovie Review: Best gay drama/mystery I've seen.

This is the best gay drama/mystery series I've seen. The love scenes are hot without being x-rated. The acting is good, and the evil schenanigans of Tracy Scoggins, and William Gregory Lee ad an interesting twist in what would be a rather pedestrian gay relationship series. What's drama without the intrigue, eh? Additionally, the setting of a seaside exotic locale, ads the sizzle with the wardrobe, or lack thereof, of the characters. Extreme cross between Dark Shadows and Dawson's Creek. Dark love from the mystical side of life enterwoven with a sorted variety of what life throws at most of us. Plot moves quite quickly on the first disk and then gets a bit slower; however, the beauty of the characters and you want to find out what is just around the corner will keep you watching. This is not a boring Queer as Folk gay stereotyped piece of crap! It is just awesome...great variety in Characters, gay guys, lesbians, straight guys and girl.
