Movie Reviews of Dangerous LiaisonsMovie Review: An exceptional 18th century aristocract film Summary: 5 Stars
John Malkovich and Glenn Close are awesome. The plot focuses on the interaction of the characters and their desire to show personal control and power over themselves and others. The 18th century aristocrat setting supplements the inter-personal relationships. The movie was redone with a modern day scenario in the film 'Cruel Intentions'. I enjoyed the comparison although 'Dangerous Liaisons' is definitely tops.
Movie Review: A Constume-Drama-Period-Piece-Chick-Flick With An Extra Summary: 5 Stars
This is your normal ladies' soap-opera romance/drama set in The Time Of Costumes -- but Uma Thurman's contribution is noteworthy, and compensates MORE than sufficiently for a guy's time watching this. So when your wife or girl friend suggests this film, pretend to be a little reluctant, and then give in. Have a little beer or wine, then relax and wait for Uma's appearance. You can't miss it!
Movie Review: 5 Stars
This was a great read. Easy to understand and much more indepth and indetail than the movie, which is also excellent. I'm a huge fan of period books and movies and this is one of the best. John Malkovich surely would make any girl's heart flutter. He is charming as Valmont and plays the character exactly as I expected after reading the book. He's what makes the movie.
Movie Review: Dangerous Liaisons Movie Review Summary: 5 Stars
This movie has just entered itself into my list of the few movies that i call my favourites. The onscreen passion and sexual tension is electric. Casting couldnt have been more appropriate and John Malcovich is supurb! If you liked Cruel Intensions and have never seen this-it is a must. It houses the same satirical humour and witty script and is good value entertainment
Movie Review: Great Movie but... Summary: 5 Stars
The movie is great with Glenn Close magnificent. I was really surprised at the inferior quality of the DVD image. Lots and lots of white flecks appear on the screen (I'm certain there's a technical name for this) and distract from the movie itself. I wonder why such a poor quality transfer was permitted.
