Movie Review: Entertaining and Educational

I first saw this movie in Junior High in my Home Ec. class when we were learning about teen pregnancy. It's a bit dated since it was made in the 80s but it's a great movie. It's a realistic look at what can happen to a teen couple when they don't practice safe sex. The story central's on Bobby a teenage boy who's idea of safe sex is the pulling out method. He dates Stacy for a while and then after a few dates, like many young men, he starts becoming interested in some one else. Then Stacy tells Bobby that she's pregnant. Bobby tries to get her to have an abortion, then he ignores her as though she'll go away, then tries to be responsible and help her with the baby by moving in with her. He deals trying to be a parent, graduating high school and then he's accepted to college and he has to decide between helping Stacy with their child or going away to college. It's very well done and a must see for parents with their children.
