I LIKE THIS WOOORRRRRRRLLLLLDDD!!!
this movie rocks!.. it has some AWESOME fight scenes, really well done. They may not be overly skillful (i don't even think Van Damme is an overly skillful martial artist unlike Jet Li, Jackie Chan or Bruce Lee) But he has the ability to make his fight scenes just "look" so damn cool!
There are so many "cool" moments in this film
eg.
-Van Damme does the splits between 2 walls and waits for one of the pirates to walk under him, before killing him with his kickass knife
-Van Damme and one of the pirates eye each other off from a distance in a factory.. then run full pelt at each other screaming, then engage in an awesome knife fight (cool use of slow-mo too)
-the first appearance of Van Damme in the film is basically just a shot of his leg out of nowhere executing an awesome roundhouse kick to the face of the bad guys (soo cool)
and so many more quality scenes

this movie was actually very good i enjoyed it alot because 1st of all i'm a van damme fan and second: the set and props were actually good. Albert Pyun has experience working with science fiction movies as he's also done the NEMESIS series in which the 1st movie of the series starred another foreign young actor named Olivier Gruner.He also is a big fighter in the martial arts industry but doesnt have to many fight scenes in his movies except in maybe ANGEL TOWN,but thats off the subject this a van damme article review right? a brief summary of CYBORG:van damme alone warrior and maybe the only hope for a cyborg's destiny to bring back a cure to Atlanta to save us all from a plague that was caused in this movies so called future.Postapocalyptic fights and maraudering bandits mainly sum it up but anyways a good action /sci-fi/martial arts flick"Bon apetit"Movie Review: Ten years later and it's still one of his best.

There seems to be two types of people here: Those that love Van Damme and those that hate him. If you are a Van Damme fan and you still haven't seen this one, shame on you. This is definately one of his best. While the story is pretty basic and the film low budget this is not only a Van Damme classic but a cult classic film. If you're not a fan, however, then you're probably not going to like this one any better than his other films. But come on, seriously, I don't see how anyone could call this the worst movie ever. Apparently they haven't seen too many films. 'Cause believe me, this one ain't as bad as it's being made out to be. I know more people that like CYBORG than don't. So if you're a fan what are you waiting for? This is Van Damme in top form.Movie Review: Pure Garbage!

This movie is trash, but a Van Damme classic. He plays a mortal (how degrading), that helps a cyborg get to Atlanta in one piece. A posse with a head bad guy who has the most boisterously entertaining voice in history of mankind tries to get the robot out of Van Damme's hands. No! This movie has the worst special effects ever and the acting is atrocious. Van Damme barely speaks, but manages to entertain me. Lots of kicks and brawls to entertain even the other deities. As an Amazon customer from England, I was anxious to get hold of this DVD. The version of Cyborg we have in the UK is very heavily cut - almost 10 minutes shorter in fact. It was a thrill to watch this full version of such a classic Van Damme hit. The action sequences are still the best he has done so far.The quality of the DVD transfer is also very good. If you like action and martial arts, get this movie ASAP!
