Movie Review: Wow!
Summary: 5 Stars
This is an amazing live DVD. I have noticed a lot of people commenting on how bad James' voice sounds. If you want a studio sound, go listen to the studio album. This is Metallica in the raw, so get over it! I will admit however that his vocals on S&M were much better, but it doesn't really make that big of a difference.
Being a huge Metallica fan, and having been to a lot of shows, it was nice to see them open the show with a different format than "Ecstasy of Gold." The Jam on "Bad Seed" was a nice opener. Jason's bass solo was awesome, and I am suprised that this wasn't turned into a song at some point.
Great DVD. Highly recommended!

Cunning Stunts is the finest concert that is ever recorded on any media.The pure,raw energy of Metallica on stage is enough to get an 80 year old on Valium going.The special effects used on stage are the best live concert effects you will ever see,especially the pyrotechnics.They also give their audience an entertaining evening with little "speeches" between several songs.The DVD is also one of the most technologically advanced on the market.By the way,my girlfriend is the one headbanging along with Jason Newstead during Fade To Black.(DISCLAIMER:Any data contained within this review may be slightly untrue/blatant lie)Movie Review: The BADDEST concert around!

The true quality and head-bangin' ability of Metallica show through on this packed-to-the-gills DVD! Everything is here: backstage, pictures, roadies, multiple angles on 3 songs. The audio quality is the best, I have friends who don't even like Metallica and they like the wall shaking, ear piercing power of Metallica on this DVD. My only complaint (and it is a minor one) is that it's hard to the crowd when James asks them to sing a verse. Well worth the price. Even if you only have 1 Metallica CD, you should get this. I went out and bought the 5 Metallica albums that I didn't have after watching and listening to this concert.Movie Review: Best DVD I own!

Metallica, regardless what people may say, is the best band EVER. I can listen to every song they have put out. This DVD just shows how strong a presence they still hold on stage, where they make their home. James, Jason, Lars, and Kirk play harder than ever with each performance. Two hours into this concert these guys are still going stronger than ever. This DVD just shows that Metallica is the best live band there is, and on Enter Sandman it shows Metallicas popularity as the crowd sings alnog word for word.
This will simply blow your mind away! The visuals are pure DVD quality and the 5.1 sound is mind boggling!
Movie Review: NOT QUITE AS GOOD AS BEING THERE, BUT CLOSE

I saw Metallica at the Summit in Houston within days of this DVD being shot. To this day, it is the best concert I have ever seen. I never thought I could capture that same feeling at home, until I saw this DVD. It is cut in a wide-open, in your face format, just like the concert itself. Metallica has come as close to capturing the feeling of being there as possible. The special effects, sound and editing make it an absolute 'must have' for even the casual Metallica fan. Other bands could learn from this one. Listen to the sound through your home stereo and tell your neighbors to go out for the night.
