Movie Review: Finally we get a glimpse of the Cube from the outside..
Summary: 5 Stars
I would have to recommend this movie for people who have been able to enjoy Cube and Cube 2. If you haven't seen either of those, then you might enjoy this. But if you saw either Cube or Cube 2 and didn't like them, then this won't be different enough for you to enjoy. Yes, this is supposed to be the prequel, but it will probably be confusing if you haven't seen the other two.
Cube Zero focuses more on some of the Cube's technicians then just people who are inside of the cube. It was definitely interesting and very creepy to see how much control they had, and how much they were involved. When I watched the original Cube, I felt like the people had just been dumped inside the cube and ignored, but that is clearly not the case. They are being carefully monitored.
One of the technicians is asking too many questions, and he is clearly becoming bothered with some of the things that he has to do. So he goes into the cube to help a woman. And things continue to get interesting, and scary.
You will see traps like in the previous movies. Did you know that the people in the control room can completely surround your room with rooms with traps?
There were a few discrepancies with the previous movies, but since this one is supposed to be taking place before the other two, they can be ignored. There is nothing glaring that ruins the movie.
Cube Zero is definitely a nightmarish scenario, but altogether a very enjoyable scary movie. Just appreciate the fact that you aren't in it.
Movie Review: Cube demystified!

I consider myself to be a big fan of the Cube series. I have seen all of the Cube movies and enjoyed them all. However, I have enjoyed Cube Zero in a very different way than either of its predecessors. Cube Zero is a completely new concept with the premise of the cube still serving as a framework to set up the plot. Those viewers renting this movie with the hope of experiencing more cube-like action, where a team of helpless people try to decipher internal workings of a complicated death maze, could be rather disappointed. Cube Zero is not really a story about finding a way out of a maze. Instead, it is a discourse on ideas of authority and obedience. How far will an underling go taking orders from his superiors without conflicting with his own ideals? Will you go out of your way to help a stranger by sacrificing your life?
I guess the biggest downfall of Cube 0 is that now it has demystified the enigmatic Cube. We still do not know everything about why Cube was invented and who has the final level of control but we do get enough to satiate our curiosity. Part of the reason why the original Cube was so hard to forget was that it ended without explaining the purpose of the cube and why people were put into it. Now we more or less know the answer. If you are willing to give up the idea of cube being a mystery you might enjoy this movie.
Movie Review: Death
Summary: 5 Stars
I have seen all three cube movies.
And all three of them are awesome for the same reason.
People get killed by a machine in a grisly fashion. And in several different ways.
And they fall back to their basest of malevolent instincts while doing so.
So exquisite and alluring.
Of course the series would have been better if the machine killed its creators instead of innocents.
Or possibly even government officials or leaders of nations.
Or even extremely wealthy people.
It would have been fascinating to see how a formerly 'powerful' individual would attempt to escape death only to be eliminated like everyone else.
Wishful thinking.
Nonetheless all three movies I can watch over and over again.
Might build my own 'Cube'.
Movie Review: I liked this sequal

I liked this sequal to the Cube movies. It does have it's scary parts of the movie as well as it's tense ones as well. The Cube series is a much different thriller than most of the movies in this genre. That is why I do like it so much because it is "different". In this sequal, it does give a "2 level lab rat" story and does also give a reason for their being "trapped". I highly recommend this movie to all of the Cube fans out there. This is the best of the 3 movies by far, it gives you all the information that you wanted to know from the first two movies. You finally find out why they have been placed into the cube, and it shows some of the people that are controlling it. It has the beginnings of some of the traps from the first movie and also a few new ones (new one is really cool, gross but cool). I just rented it but I plan to purchase it as soon as I can!
