Movie Review: This is a very moving story!
Summary: 5 Stars
This is a story of different races in Africa and how the people deal with them. Different positions dictate what you are allowed to do. The Father reminds me of Job in the Old Testament of the Bible....it seemed as though he was getting slapped with disappointment after disappointment and yet he perseviered to the goal. Great story, beautifully shot and superbly acted. Alan Paton's sorrowful but ultimately hopeful story of race, faith, suffering, and redemption. The film follows the book extremely well. Minor changes do not affect the author's purpose. Emotional performances by recognizable actors such as Jones and Harris are appealing to current audiences.
