... this would be it. It is an insipid, oft-told tale of adolescent dysfunction elevated not a bit by its gay context.
In addition to a hackneyed script and uniformly weak performances, the entire sorry affair suffers from looking like Helen Keller was the director of photography. Dark, dreary images of dull, foolish people.
There *are* worse ways to spend a couple hours. But who wants to travel to Guantanamo at this time of year?
Summary of Crutch
Behind a fa?ade of suburban middle class perfection, David's home life is falling apart. As he tries to cope with this impossible situation, the troubled, impressionable teenager falls under the spell of Kenny, a gorgeous, thirty-something, has-been actor turned theatre coach. And when Kenny's support escalates into seduction, David slowly descends into an abyss of drinking and drug addiction from which he must escape if he is to survive.Drama DVD Video
