Movie Reviews of Crunch - Candlelight Yoga

Movie Review: Wonderful in every aspect!
Summary: 5 Stars

This is my FAVORITE dvd right now. Everything about it is amazing. The set and lighting is absolutely gorgeous and along with the soothing music helps put you in the right state of mind for the practice. Sarah Ivanhoe is an excellent instructor who is not intimidating and does not "talk down" to you. The workout flows beautifully and is so soothing, that it has almost completely eliminated the back pain I have been suffering from for YEARS in just a few weeks. If you buy the DVD instead of the VHS, there is an additional 15 minute "energizer" segment that is the perfect start to the day. If I do that segment in the morning, I have so much energy throughout the day I can't believe it! I highly recommend this DVD.

Movie Review: This DVD changed my life!
Summary: 5 Stars

I purchased this DVD to relax my breathing and help me sleep at night. I've been following the 1 hour workout before bedtime for the last month and have acheived dramatic results. Thanks to the techniques used to slow breathing rate, I've gone from a person who needed 10 hours of sleep to feel rested to waking up WITHOUT AN ALARM CLOCK after 6 hours of refreshing sleep. The moves are simple and the instructor gives options to make the moves more or less challenging depending on your skill level. The instructor's voice is pleasant, and she provides enough verbal instruction that you don't need to look at the screen at all after the first viewing. The music is pleasant, and the 15 minute energizing routine is a nice bonus feature.

Movie Review: The DVD Who Made Me
Summary: 5 Stars

This title seems a bit much to the average person but really this gave me the stepping stones for my yoga practice. A therapist suggested this yoga for me when I was 14 to deal with severe panic attacks and anxiety. So I took myself down to the local store and this was the only VHS on yoga available, I bought it and took it home.

I've never looked back since. Years have gone by and I'm now going to get certified to be a yoga instructor in the fall. And it all started with this simple little video. I suggest it to all newbies. While I have outgrown it , I still find it fun to watch it. It's not intimidating, the instructor's voice is pleasant, it gives a nice variety of what yoga is, and it is worth every penny!

Movie Review: Crunch Candlelight Yoga -- A good place to begin
Summary: 5 Stars

Crunch Candlelight Yoga seems to make a lot of sense for someone like myself who is fairly new to Yoga. Ms. Ivanhoe is sensitive and patient as she explains each of the video's activities. She also offers choices and encouragement for those who may be new to Yoga or for those who just might be a little physically challenged as a result of advancing age. Equally important, the music that is used as a backdrop for the demonstraters is well suited in as much as it promotes a welcome relaxed and restful tone. After playing the video a couple of times I was surprised one evening to see my wife and daughter appear so that they too could join in for the session. All in all, I was well pleased with this offering.

Movie Review: Sara's best Yoga DVD
Summary: 5 Stars

This is the best of Sara's instructions. I disagree with the other person who said Crunch The Perfect Yoga Workout is better. Yes they are similar, but I this one is better. Flows better. The music is lovely with nature/bird sounds in the background. My only complaint is with Natasha. She is supposed to be beginner level, but demonstrates with extreme flexibility. It would be better if they used a beginner. She also seems rather stuck-up while Sara and the other students are real people. I own several of Sara's DVDs and all of them are wonderful. The new Yoga on the Ball DVD is great too! Thanks Sara!
