Movie Review: THIS BABY'S ROCKING AND NOT STOPPING!!
Summary: 5 Stars

FOr those of you out there any anime lovers, GO NOW AND BUY THIS MOVIE. IF ANY OF YOU MISS THIS MOVIE YOU ARE ONLY HURTING YOURSELF. I saw this at a best buy thought about hmmmm this or a Rurouni Kenshin OVA. I choose this movie and now i'm sure I made the right decision. Now let it be none this is a graphic movie.
Here's a Descrition. It's a typical day on the Bebop. But as Faye goes after a hacker she finds another man who was in the hacker's truck. The truck blows up leaving a deadly (witheld to not spoil plot)to kill everyone around. Soon after, the Bebop crew hears that the guy Faye saw is worth 300 million woolongs they immediately go out to find information. The each find information that leads Spike to a Pharmactical Company called Cherious Medical While sneaking around a woman named Electra figures Spike is sneaking around in the building. Spike is forced to fight her Bruce Lee style with a broom. He places a tracer on her to track is they find out about the man who blew up the truck.
Faye tracks the hacker she was after before to she if he had a connection wtih the man who blew up the truck. She starts to get it too and the man who belw up the truck is there too. She gets caught. Soon the man leaves after to lure the woman Electra. Spike hears on his tracer that the man is going to the train station. He goes after him to the train after a fierce Shoot out btween spike and the man and a little fist fighting Spike loses and is ended almost out of the window if a gun pointed toward his gut and is shot badly.
This is a must see movie Edward's little search for Lee was pretty funny. I reccomend buying the Episodes on DVD if you liked the movie. The music leaves up to my expectationthe Begining was spectular music and the ned put the ending feeling all the Cowboy Bebop episodes. YOU MUST BUY THIS MOVIE. IF YOU DON'T YOUR FRIENDS WILL LAUGH AT YOU FOR YORU STUPIDITY.

Movie Review: Spokey Dokey
Summary: 5 Stars

This movie is sure to charm anyone, anime fan or not. In essence, the movie plays like a long version of an episode (The movie takes place between episodes 22 and 23). It is very well developed. Anyone who is simply a fan of action movies is sure to love this film.

The movie opens up with Faye looking for a mark (a 17 year old hacker) on Mars. But, when the tanker the hacker is in explodes, a whole new situation develops. A biological virus is unleashed by a mysterious madman known only as Vincent. Vincent (and the hacker dude) plan to unleash the virus on the entire Mars population! Of course, the crew gets caught up in this.

The movie showed things, that weren't seen in other episodes. Little things that we like to see in the future. We see the future of drive-in movies, arcades, and advertisements. It puts more things into perspective, day-to-day things that we take for granted.

The music is great. The signature jazz is most definately there, along with new styles. Some of these styles, I don't particularly care for, but when meshed with the film; they're great. The music just helps build the tension in certain scenes. Other scenes, the music gets the viewer's adrenaline pumping. Yoko Kanno's soundtrack does the job again.

The characters are pretty much clear to a tee, so even the anime newbie can get what's up. The movie tends to focus on Spike more than the others. The length helps the viewer come to respect all the characters, even if he hasn't watched the cartoon before. The original english voice actors bring out the same cowboys we all know and love; Spike is still lazy, Jet is still a push-over on, Ed is still crazy, and Faye is still audicious.

The movie totally stands alone, and is good for anyone who enjoys entertainment. There are only a few things that only the Bebop fan would notice. Seeing the cartoon on the big screen is entirely worth every penny.

Movie Review: knockin' on heaven's door
Summary: 5 Stars

i hate it when foreign movies come out in america and they change the title. the originally title of this movie is, "Cowboy Bebop: Knockin' on Heaven's Door". but instead they changed it to "Cowboy Bebop: The Movie". yes, we all know it's a movie, but hey, maybe it's just me.

everything in this flick is still great. all the voice-actors from the show are back and sound great, as well as the music. i was fortunate enough to see this in the theaters, and it was glorious. i wish there were more animes on the big screen.

the story is about the usual crew and their mishaps. they get a bounty on a guy named Vincent, in one way or another, and go after him. Of course Faye goes off in her own way, as does Spike. Jet acts as the mediator, like usual and Ed and Ein are still mostly entertaining background noise. but Ed does some useful computer hacking and such. there's not much backstory on Vincent, but that's okay. all the action sequences are amazing and the animation is top notch. the movies climax is one of anime's best, ending in a showdown on a Eiffel tower duplicate.

so if you like the show, you will like the movie. it's just another episode, except dragged out. so it's almost impossible for it to keep the same fast pace as the tv show, but it doesn't slow down for long. buy this if you like good anime or even if you've never heard of this Japanese form of animation. it's a great movie none the less. i hope they make another movie, since the show is over and this one was a success. if they do, i hope they revolve it around the relationship between Spike and Vicious and the whole Red Dragon organization. that would make for a hell of a movie in my book. but this one will have to do for now. great movie, great series, great great great.

Movie Review: Simply Amazing! Just what you expect from Cowboy Bebop!
Summary: 5 Stars

Before I watched this movie, I had seen only one episode of Cowboy Bebop back when it first started playing on TV. I knew the characters, and some of the story, but other than that, I was pretty much clueless. Well, I was wandering through the used dvd section in a local video store and happened to see this for a good price, so I figured 'what the hey' and bought it. I have not regretted that decision yet. In fact, I have gone on to buy the Cowboy Bebop series!

This is definitely one of the favorites in my collection. Everything about it is just awesome, from the animation to the story to the voices. I prefer the English voices, as those are the ones I am familiar with, but the Japanese is just as good, although Faye sounds much younger than she is supposed to be.

Visually, this movie is a real treat. The movement is fluid, the colors are appropriate to the atmosphere, and hair and clothing move as they would in real life. The animators put some serious time and effort into making this movie as beautiful as possible.

The characters are some of the coolest I've ever seen. Faye is my favorite, although Spike is a very close second. I showed this to my mother and stepfather (English version of course), and mom has become an Ed fan. David likes Spike, and especially enjoyed the fight between Spike and Electra.

The music took a while for me to get used to, but once I did I found I liked it a lot. Very different from the J-pop and J-rock you normally hear in anime movies, thought I like that kind of stuff too.

When all is said and done, I think every anime fan needs to see some Cowboy Bebop at least once, even if it is just an episode or two. Personally, I recommend the movie as a good starting point. Worked for me!

Movie Review: True to the series and just as creative.
Summary: 5 Stars

People interested in owning this movie might want to know, if they don't already, that it was created after the anime series and is probably best if viewed after seeing the tv show. Several reviewers suggested watching it after episode 22 (of 26) and I agree that it fits in well this way, because the series has already shown how all main characters came together, their back stories, etc. However, seeing the show first isn't necessary in order to understand and enjoy the film - Cowboy Bebop stories stray from plots requiring you to have seen anything previously.

The DVD I watched was called a special edition version (although I'm pretty sure it's the...only...version) that featured several moderately interesting extras. There are voice actors commenting on the people they've played, storyboards shown alongside chunks of the animation for comparison, an illustrative gallery and lots of blurbs from the creators that never go into much more depth than, "This movie is universal because it is so amazing, and everything is just great, and the music is just great." The back cover's overrated "music videos" are really just 2 chunks of the movie cued again (without opening and end credits scrolling), from when an entire song had played without any dialogue. Subtitle and language options allowed for me to view it a second time in English, and I found that a lot is changed - even a lot of the feelings and meaning - during the twist they put on the translation.

Additionally, this is one of the most touching and experimental anime movies I've seen. Cowboy Bebop fans ought to be impressed (the same people were called to work on the film), and I think anime fans would take to it as well as people who aren't into traditional japanese cartoons. Very cool, in my opinion.
