Movie Review: Happy to see Corvette Summer finally on DVD

Like another reviewer I remember seeing this with my parents at the drive-in while we were on some family vacation. I suppose I was about 10 years old at the time and absolutely loved it, that probably had a lot to do at the time with my complete obsession with Star Wars but apparently that wasn't the whole reason.
I remember seeing it one more time shortly after that and it is one movie I've never forgotten and I've ever since been trying to see it again. I had Corvette Summer in my Tivo wishlist forever and about two months ago I was pleasantly surprised to see it on my Now Playing list. Some channel, don't remember which, had a day long marathon of "Teenagers with Cars" movies.
I watched about half of it before some friends picked me up for a weekend trip. Upon returning home I was deep in the process of getting ready for a wedding, then we had a honeymoon and then finally I came home. Here was going to be my chance to finish watching one of my all time favorite movies.
The Tivo died while we were away. Gone was Corvette Summer. My wife said "well can't you just buy it" to which I nearly burst into tears when I said "noooooooo".
And now...here it is available for pre-order. I must have done something right.
I'm definitely buying this.
