Movie Review: A REMARKABLE SHORT FILM...
Summary: 5 Stars

The other critics have nearly said it all, so just a few additional comments:

This short film is remarkably well written, and very well directed, filmed, and acted. The production values are first-rate. The supporting actors are all very good. Tucci is always a very reliable actor, and he's very good here.

However, the real star of the show is Branagh, who brings his Shakespearean experience to the project. His smallest word or jesture is superb. And since the film is so very well written, Branagh has excellent material with which to work. But the film is worth having for Branagh's acting alone. I've already watched this film several times, and the acting is so finely nuanced, the dialogue so fine, that it continues to be remarkable.

Movie Review: Conspiracy
Summary: 5 Stars

This movie is superb and distribing all at the same time. The story is very fast paced it really has no slow parts or fillers. If the words are not the exact ones said that day you feel they have captured the spirit of the meeting. When They discuss their "storage" problem and decide the fate of millions of people over a buffet lunch you see true ... but without it being preachy or overdone. What I found amazing is how "normal" the subject matter is handled. You imagine from their laughter and joking you are at a meeting with a bunch of CEO'S. Kenneth Branagh and Colin Firth really move this picture along and you feel that you have glimpsed into a very dark side of history. The thought of how close they came to their plan is extremly scary. A good fast paced movie.

Movie Review: Chilling and Compelling
Summary: 5 Stars

Not for the faint hearted; this film captures the malevolent atmosphere as the select group gathers for what initially appears to be a meeting to coordinate cooperation. Only as the discussion unfolds do we (and some of those around the table) become aware that this 'final solution' is about the obliteration of an entire race. Brannagh's performance as Heydrich is as compelling as it is disturbing. The ruthless efficiency in manipulating, cajoling and bullying others to agree his approach is fascinating until we realise that the subject is the execution of innocent men, women and children who have been stripped of any humanity. This is not just entertainment but a great insight into trying to understand the workings of a warped society on the verge of decline.

Movie Review: exceptional film
Summary: 5 Stars

In a time of movies like Saving Private Ryan and The Great Raid,
HBO makes a film that is in its tradition of quality film making.
Although there is no action and gore in this film, the story is every bit chilling as any war film could be. As an amateur WW2
historian,I was well aware of the Wannsee conference. If you have ever wondered why the Nazis did what they did, this film demonstrates the rational the Nazis had for there madness. If you think that this film sounds boring, remember that more then 10,000,000 people died in the death camps(6,000,000 Jews) and this meeting made it Germain State policy. So take a chance, forget about Saving Private Ryan and watch this film. Remember,"those who forget the past are condemed to repeat it"

Movie Review: Great Movie
Summary: 5 Stars

This movie was thoroughly fascinating. The characters were portrayed as real men, not as some sort of horrible hobgoblins that history tends to pretend they were. While much historical liberty is taken by the directors in recreating the controversial event, it is done within the confines of probability.

I was also surprised to see the way the directors handled Hitler's involvement (or lack thereof) in the Final Solution. While Heydrich and Eichman assure everyone that Hitler "will not ask about it" they never say that Hitler knows. Many historians will argue otherwise, but its good to see that the directors didn't try to rewrite history themselves. Overall a superb movie that should be watched by any World War II/Nazi Germany Buff.
