Movie Reviews of Conan the DestroyerMovie Review: Right in it's big ugly face! Summary: 5 Stars
I caught this movie on cable the other day. It was an amazing fantasy-action movie with Arnold Shwartsanegger (sp?) in it as a powerful warrior. It's got all of the sword-fighting and adventure and magic that you could ask for. However, the best part of the entire movie is when Conan the Destroyer is riding on his horse with his Master-Thief, and confronts a camel. The camel spits a foul looking foam all over Conan the Destroyer's face. He gives it this amazing look and then POW!! He throws a hay-maker style punch right to the camel's face and knocks it out cold!! This has got to be one of my favorite scenes in just about any movie, ever. This 5-star punch makes this a Tuttleman approved, 5 star movie. It makes me want to punch a camel SOOOO bad in real life. I made a promise to myself that I will knock out a camel before I die, even if it's a zoo-camel that just happens to "get too close" to the cage-bars. And no, I'm not kidding or trying to be funny.
In conclusion, when I make my video compilation of the top 100 greatest action scenes ever laid to film, this will be right up there along side that part in Resident Evil where the girl kicks a dog out of mid-air with a slow-motion kick to the chin. And also a scene from a movie Lyle showed me called "Zombie" where a zombie leaps over-board off of a boat and takes on the great-white-shark, one-on-one. Also that part in Crocodile-Dundee where Crocidile Dundee wrestles a crocodile and stabs it through the skull with a bowie-knife. I love animal-action scenes where people fight animals in movies!! It's one of my favorite kinds of conflicts: Man vs. Animal!! Alright, I'm highly inspired to go work on that tape now. I don't want to write anymore right now so go do something else please. Later.

Movie Review: Fun adventure Summary: 5 Stars
Conan the Destroyer is the sequel to Conan the Barbarian. It is not as well made as Conan the Barbarian. It is still a fun movie. By modern standards it is almost a B-movie. Back in the 80s though movies like this were state of the art fantasy films. Arnold Schwarzenegger plays Conan once again in this sequel. Conan is sent on a mission with the promise of the Queen Taramis that if he accomplishes the mission she will revive his love Valeria who was killed in the first movie. Conan sets out on the mission with a thief, a wizard, a princess, and a warrior of the queen (played by basketball legend Wilt Chamberlain).
The only starring actor from the first Conan movie besides Arnold Schwarzenegger who appears in the sequel is Mako. In the first film he played the wizard. This time he plays the wizard again. A different director was also hired for the sequel. The first Conan movie was directed by John Milius. The sequel is directed by Richard Fleischer. Richard Fleischer is a good director but due to the director change the movie has a different feel.
All in all I like Conan the Destroyer. It is different from Conan the Barbarian but still good. Conan the Destroyer is not as serious a take on the Conan concept as the previous movie was but it is still a fun movie with funny lines.
Movie Review: Conan, the Immortal God Summary: 5 Stars
The continuation of "Conan the Barbarian" was exactly what I had hoped for. Conan must escort the evil Queen Taramis' princess to find a treasure. If he returns the girl in one peace, then his beloved Valeria will be brought back to life. That plotline is adorable and Conan shows how much he loves the girl of his dreams. Accompanying Conan to the glass castle, is the forever intimidating Grace Jones and Wilt Chamberlain. Considering this epic picture is PG, the violence level is extremely high. I was flabbergasted with the decapitation and ugliness of the monsters. The fight in the mirrors reminded me of Bruce Lee vs. The Claw Man from "Enter the Dragon". It was that immaculate! By the way, Mako returned as the funny little wizard and he is commendable! The best sword-and-sorcery film ever made and I'm still praying to the gods for Hollywood to make another Conan masterpiece.

Conan The Destroyer DVD
Based on a Robert E. Howard book, the movie is a reasonably well done representation. I think Howard would have enjoyed it.
This was a fun fantasy-action movie with Arnold Schwarzenegger as a powerful warrior. Arnold is so dang big with all that muscle showing, sword-fighting ....And yes, the movie is visually interesting, too, even though, the special effects are obsolete and a little goofy...but that's ok...its an old movie now... A movie I love seeing over and over again...a movie that is a must have for any Arnold -Fan!
Recommended for Arnold fans, fans of the Conan books, and fantasy, action adventure movies

Movie Review: Zula was NOT androgenous!! Come on! Summary: 5 Stars
I must ask this: WHY the HECK is Grace Jones described as "androgynous" in the review for this film? Oh because 1. She can defend herself. 2. She's a dark skinned black woman with an African name. 3. She enjoys beating people's...uh behinds. I personally thought she was very feminine. And some people need to check themselves and think long and hard about what it is to be "feminine." Oh how I love this country. Anyway, I love Conan in this film. Granted he's not so brooding and serious in this one but I like seeing another side of him. And I still think he's hardcore. Arnold was awesome in this role. This movie was great when I was small and still is.
