Movie Reviews of ComedianMovie Review: SEINFELD'S COMEDIC INSPIRATION Summary: 5 Stars
Yes, Seinfeld is always funny. Here's what he said about his comedic inspiration: "[Lois Nettleton] was married to Jean Shepherd. He's the guy who invented talk radio and really formed my entire comedic sensibility. Yes. I learned how to do comedy from Jean Shepherd." He said this in his commentary for "The Gymnast" episode on the sitcom's DVD set, sixth season. Who is Jean Shepherd? See the book EXCELSIOR, YOU FATHEAD! THE ART AND ENIGMA OF JEAN SHEPHERD.
Movie Review: Insight into comedy Summary: 5 Stars
Being a huge Seinfeld fan, I saw two of his shows that were held in Seattle. The first one was super awesome; the second one was not so good. After watching this DVD, it made me realize that comedy is hard work and that great comedians, including Jerry, can give bad shows. It was really interesting to note how often comedians use the same material. If you are a Seinfeld fan, you should watch this DVD. Leno and Cosby also are very interesting.
Movie Review: Bravo Summary: 5 Stars
I loved this DVD. Don't expect Seinfeld episodes or lots of standup comedy here. This is a personal-to-the-enth-degree documentary about the writing process of comedy as much as the performance process. Highly recommended for anyone who loves to write personal stuff, as well as anyone who loves comedy and show business in general. The soundtrack is great, especially at the end. Bravo, Jerry. Another gift to the world. Thanks!
Movie Review: SOUNDTRACK Summary: 5 Stars
Just a quick note for those of you (like me) who LOVED the soundtrack. Here is a link to the list of all the songs used in the film:

It's work, but you can compile it yourself. It's definitely worth it.
Happy listening!
Movie Review: Seinfeld Summary: 5 Stars
An insightful and eye-opening look behind the scenes of one of the most prolific comedians of our time. We see the less than glamorous side of trying to keep toned the ability of making people laugh. Real emotion is displayed. Apparently no one is exempt from paying comedy's life dues.
